One of India’s most sought-after young make-up artists is traveling all over Mumbai, India and around the world to dress the super-rich brides, seeking the super-glam look. Ojas Rajani, tells us why 2010 has been a super-busy year. “January and February have been super-busy months. On 3rd February, I did the makeup for Radhika Singal’s sangeet in Delhi. She’s getting married to Saurabh Dhoot in Mumbai and I’ve been booked for all the functions on 14th, 15th and 16th.”
The makeup artist who charges between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 for bridal makeup, tells us why 6th February was a memorable day. “I travelled around the city—between early morning and pre midnight, I dressed 7 brides who had to get ready at 5 different venues—Parsi Gymkhana, NSCI Worli and Turf Club in South Mumbai, and Taj Lands End and Grand Hyatt in the Western Suburbs. Fortunately, I managed to reach all the venues on time—thanks to the newly opened Bandra-Worli Sea Link.”
Besides creating Aishwarya Rai’s looks for the to-be-released film ‘Action Replay’, Ojas has been booked by Indian brides who are getting married in different exotic destinations around the world. In March he travels to Hongkong, April is Miami and New Zealand, in June he’s in his favorite destination Bali and in November he’ll be in Barcelona and Laspalmas.

Ojas did my makeup for my wedding this year . While im sure her celebrity brides were given the royal treatment , I would like to share that my experience was horrible. first of all, when she called me on my residence no, my househelp answered and because my girl is not fluent , I was amazed to find ojas screaming at her on the phone . On the main day, she came really really late and charged me a different amount than what we had agreed on .since I had no proof and I had a sea of people waiting for the bride , I was in no frame of mind to argue .she refuses to give you a trial and is not open to suggestions or to discuss what you might want. if you are not an a lister or celebrity, I urge you to look elsewhere . I was very uncomfortable hearing her call other brides sluts and bitches when talking about them .there are other wonderful artists my friends have been to like mehera kolah and chiraj bamboat and cory walia . All the best !

Hello,
I am surprised it took someone so long to point out ojas’ terrible lack of professionalism as a makeup artist. He is rude, almost always late( his hairstylist told me he was infamous for this) and has no patience for non celebrity brides. I was extremely upset with the level of service i received during my wedding after paying a hefty sum and I would strongly advise new potential brides to go elsewhere to an artist who will make them feel comfortable on the most important day of their lives.Ojas is very gifted, but he is awful to deal with- impossible to reach on the phone, not open to any suggestions/discussions of the bride and extremely rude.if you need any more information/help with other areas-please contact me on radhikamehta83@gmail.com
