This is the first year of The Royale Wedding Show. Organised by Confetti 9, the luxury and lifestyle events company is co-founded by the same team who earlier managed the popular Marwar Mega Wedding Show. Confetti 9 have managed to get an impressive set of exhibitors for the three day show (today i.e. Sunday, 18th July is the last day) at World Trade Center, Cuffe Parade.

Most of the exhibitors are designers/ stores showcasing heavy, embroidered bridal wear and jewellers with big diamond jewellery. Then are a few stalls of those who retail accessories, home creations and other wedding related stuff. In clothes, we loved the traditional, sophisticated sarees by ‘Roliana’ from Varanasi. They have a range of elegant Benarasi sarees for all budgets. Roli and Vikas, the charming husband-wife duo who run their studio in Varanasi, are now passionately involved in promoting their beautiful yet affordable wear for brides who are looking for non-embroidered stuff sans the bling. We also loved the smart Indo-western creations by Delhi-based Deepa Thakur of Cyra. In the designer wear section—what got our attention was Salim Asgarally’s Indo-Westerns and Alpana Gujral’s fine jewellery with semi-precious stones.

The next Royale Wedding Show will be held between October 19th – 21st 2010 at Hotel Novotel, Juhu.
