WeddingSutra’s Top 10 Designers Picks at Joya

If you are a lover of all things luxe and seeking latest trends in bespoke luxury, then Joya by Cineyug is a dream come true for all shopping connoisseurs. The event on 17-18th August is at The Dome, NSCI Worli. Curated by Yasmin Morani and Priyanka Soorma Chaturvedi, JOYA showcases a mix of designers, lifestyle experiences and a gastronomic showcase of gourmet food. We spent a whole evening at Joya trying out beautiful bridal wear and jewellery so we could bring you a curated list of 10 designers that are absolutely unmissable at Joya.

1. Gaurav Gupta
If subtle luxury is your thing, then do stop by at designer Gaurav Gupta’s stall. The collection, replete with nude coloured lehangas, is an absolute must have if you love the understated look.

2. Jewels by Queenie Singh
A subtle pop of color mixed with tradition is what makes jewellery designer, Queenie Singh’s collection unique. Beautiful statement necklaces and drop earrings with gems in red and green are sure to add that little bit of drama to your ensemble.

3. Arpita Mehta
Arpita Mehta’s trousseau collection revolved around mirror work and subtle shimmer. Choose from a wide variety of lehengas that are priced between Rs 20,000- Rs 1,00,000

4. Ohaila Khan
If you like to experiment with your trousseau choices, then Ohaila Khan’s collection will not disappoint. The upcoming designer’s stall is a beautiful mix of lehengas in rich colours of purple, red and even peach.

5. Sangeeta Kilachand
Whoever said tradition is boring should perhaps take a cue from Sangeeta Kilachand’s designs. Comprising mostly of bandhini printed kurtis and crop waistcoats, it’s surely a stall you should stop by.

6. Kunal Rawal
One of our favorite menswear designer’s, Kunal Rawal’s collection is an amalgamation of contemporary design and tradition. Pick from a wide array of delicately embroidered sherwanis in black, cobalt and white.

7. Golecha’s Jewels
Everything about this stall spells luxury and opulence. If you are a lover of tradition, then you will certainly like their collection of handcrafted necklaces, jhumkis and maang tikka’s.

8. Rohit Bal
The king of couture, Rohit Bal’s collection is an ultimate destination to luxury and sophistication. Comprising of womenswear and menswear designs, the collection showcases one-of-a kind lehengas, jackets and sherwanis that look resplendent in black and gold embroidery.

9. Faraz Manan
Dubai-based designer Faraz Manan’s collection is all about minimalism. Everything from his kurta sets to lehengas feature delicate and intricate embroidery that spells Parisian glamour.

10. Pinky Saraf
Last but not the least, Pinky Saraf’s collection is a unique mix of geometrically patterned handcrafted potli bags and clutches in metallic colours which provide an ethnic look with a modern touch.
