Rocky S shows bridal again

Followed by a bridal preview at Lakme fashion week, Rocky S also showed a much larger bridal collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in Delhi. Rocky says that Delhi is far bigger than Mumbai in sales, buyer volumes and quality and from next year, he will only be showing at Delhi. Whats Mumbai’s loss is Delhi’s gain – Rocky’s bridal range is a rage among NRI brides.
Talking about his collection to the media, Rocky said, “This is a very simple and traditional collection. I wanted it more for family… for a woman who is getting married; her sister can buy something, her mother can buy something. I wanted to keep it very traditional. So the colours are very pure…Indian colours. The fabrics are Indian… traditional embroidery is being used. I just wanted to stay away from black for a change”.
Highlight of the show were Hema Malini and daughter Esha who walked the ramp in maroon and green sari teamed with an embroidered burnt orange coloured blouse and heavily embroidered maroon and green bridal lehenga-choli respectively. Needless to say Hema stole the show!

Rocky S bridal opens LFW

Designer Rocky S gave us sweet treat with a stunning array of candy-hued bridals (think pink, peach, turquoise) to go with jewellery designed by Queenie for Giantti for the opening show of the LFW. The embellishments of brocade, patchwork, Swarovski crystals and appliqués glittered under the arc lights teamed with dazzling jewellery by Queenie for Giantti.
The showstopper was the gorgeous Bipasha Basu in a lemon sari and blouse with a net pallav splashed with the sequins and embroidery and wearing a grand diamond necklace by Queenie for Giantti.
No surprising silhouettes or extraordinary details but a very wearable and attractive collection of bridal/ festive wear from Rocky S.
