Do's and Don'ts to protect your ultimate symbol
of love
Keeping diamonds clean is just one way to keep the fire alive. Although
diamonds are forever, there are things you can do to protect your ultimate
symbol of love.
-
DO keep diamonds in a fabric-lined jewel case with compartments or
dividers. If placed in one compartment together, diamonds should be
wrapped in tissue paper because one diamond can scratch or damage
another diamond.
-
DON`T
wear your diamond engagement ring while doing extremely rough work.
Although a diamond is the hardest substance on earth, it can be chipped
by a very hard blow.
-
DO
make sure that your diamond engagement ring never comes in contact
with chlorine bleach. It won't hurt the diamond, but it can pit and
discolour the mounting.
-
DON`T
forget to have your ring checked by a jeweller once a year for loose
stones and to ensure the mounting is secure.
-
DO
remember that you're wearing the most durable, yet beautiful, substance
known to man. Enjoy!
