Taking
care of your hair is as important as taking care of your skin. An effective
haircare discipline involves cleansing, toning and conditioning routines
carried out with religious regularity.

Oily Hair |
| Shampoo
Cleanser : |
Take
some dry soap nuts (reetha) and soak them in water overnight. Mash
them in the morning and strain the soapy solution. Add a few drops
of patchouli essential oil.
If you are unable to make this shampoo at home, add a few drops
of patchouli essential oil to your shampoo. It works.

| Toning
Lotion : |
Mix
a tablespoon of malt vinegar in a glass of water. Add three drops
of patchouli. Dab one tablespoon of this mixture on your scalp and
massage twice a week. Leave the lotion on for one hour. Rinse with
cool water, brush and set hair. |

Tips :

Do
not use harsh shampoos.
Do not use oils unless the cleansing routine leaves your hair extremely
dry.
Massage your scalp regularly.

Dry Hair |
| Protein
Conditioner : |
Beat
together one tablespoon of castor oil, one tablespoon of almond
oil, one tablespoon of glycerine, a teaspoon of cidar vinegar, a
teaspoon of protein and four drops of sandalwood oil. Apply it on
the scalp and leave it for twenty minutes. Rinse with clear water.

Oil/ Toner : |
Add
lavender essential oil to equal quantities of castor oil and coconut
oil. Heat a little and massage gently into the scalp at night. Rinse
or shampoo in the morning. Follow this routine atleast twice a week. |

Tips :

Take
a few drops of ylang ylang on your palm and apply to freshly washed
hair to get an instant shine and keep split ends away.

Normal Hair |
| Shampoo
Cleanser : |
Use
camomile or rosemary shampoo. Else add two drops of rosemary or
camomile essential oil to your regular shampoo.

| Massage
Oil/ Toner : |
Mix
one tablespoon each of coconut oil, castor oil and sesame (til0
oil with two drops of rosemary. Massage into the hair for a few
minutes. Then wrap the head in warm towel to help oil penetration.
Leave o for an hour, then use a gentle shampoo.
