A Very Private Wedding for Kareena and Saif
Kareena and Saif's wedding celebrations in Mumbai and Delhi were a fairly grand yet private affair. Except for the Registered Wedding, where the couple stepped out to get photographed by the media, for the rest of the functions, the media had little information on the wedding details. Interestingly, except for the Wedding Reception in Delhi where the Invitation (click here to see the Royal Invitation) was leaked on the net, no one knew what was taking place where.

Bollywood's Star Couple

Pre Wedding Party
The celebrations commenced with an intimate pre-wedding party. The media presumed this was the Sangeet, which it was not. Kareena wore a gold and orange creation by Manish Malhotra and managed to dodge the huge number of waiting media. Not much is known about this party, except that the decor at the terrace party was simple and that the catering was done by Joss. There were reports that the neighbours in the adjoining building complained to the police about the music blaring late at night; a police inspector it was reported, stepped in to the building to speak to Saif.

Registered Wedding
The registered wedding was at their current residence Fortune Heights. It was around noon, when the Registrar visited their residence, and just after that, huge crowds on seeing the media personnel, including school children gathered outside Fortune Heights to get a glimpse of the newly-weds. Just after that Kareena and Saif left for The Taj Mahal Palace where the entered through the back entrance of the hotel.

Carving Dreams- The Wedding Planners
To be part of Kareena & Saif's wedding was a dream, not just for event management companies, but for many leading photographers and wedding decor specialists. Finally the couple chose wedding specialists who they knew well. The Wedding Planners were Carving Dreams, a talent & event management company who represent Saif Ali Khan. Wedding@ Taj Mahal Palace
While there was a lot of speculation that the star couple who have a Nikaah or a Church Wedding, they finally chose to exchange vows at the iconic hotel in Colaba. After the exchange of vows, it was time for a lot of naach-gaan Bollywood style with performances by their close friends.

Mughal theme Reception
The high security Reception was at 31 Aurangzeb Road. Those who attended commented it was a very elegant evening, with all its subtle Nawabi influence. The guests greeted each other with 'adaabs', old candle stands cast a nostalgic light in the spaces and diyas glimmered over the entrance. The decor was done by Tipsy Anand who runs an Event Management company named 'Good Earth'. The highlight of the evening was a performance by the very beautiful Sonam Kalra who rendered Sufi songs.
