Wedding
Plans
Post
the engagement, Vikram and me were extremely busy with work. So we
never had time to worry about the little things that often
bother brides, grooms and their families. Both of us and our
parents wanted the wedding to be a sweet and simple, no-fuss
affair so I never spent time fretting about options and choices.
From
the beginning, we decided that this whole affair would be a
special day for us and not a show for hundreds of guests. We
wanted only our close friends to be present on the special
occasion and so the guest list was restricted to 150 people,
though we had so many friends and business acquaintances in Mumbai.
Since
I had known Vikram for long and both me and and his mum got along
fantastically well, the constant communication between all of us,
made wedding planning a very smooth affair.
Invitations
I never had time to pick and choose options in invitations. Nor
was I happy with the options showcased by some vendors. So
my mother advised me on the simplest route. I designed the
invitation card on my computer, purchased paper from Chimanlals,
the famous paper store in Fort, and printed the invitation cards
on my colour printer.
Honeymoon
Planning
There was never any time to think about the honeymoon. In fact the
day after the wedding, we both were at the airport to greet a
business acquaintance.
