Engagement
6th September, 2003 at the Ball Room, J.W. Marriott Hotel

Says Anuj: "My family and Ishmit's family have known each other for years. I saw Ishmit in May last year, when my dad showed me her photograph. But I was already seeing someone else, so was uninterested in taking the matter further. Two months later (I was single again) I met Ishmit and after a few meetings I experienced good vibes and a nice connect… something I had never felt for anyone before. Some weeks later I talked to my dad about my feelings for Ishmit. Next I called my best friend, Manish to tell him about my engagement. He couldn't believe it as he thought I would never get married."

The Engagement ceremony happened on 6th September 2003. Says Anuj: "My parents were too-too happy so they decided to celebrate even the engagement in mega style, with a grand function at the Ball Room of the J.W. Marriott Hotel, Juhu."

The ring ceremony saw a number of Anuj's close friends and relatives from South Bombay and abroad. There were of course a large number of celebrities and television stars. The star cast of Kkusum came in full force. Shweta Kwaatra (Esha), Raymon Singh (Nikita Chachi),Nitin Trivedi (Father), Pratim Parekh (Kapil Kapoor), Ashish Kaul (Aryaman), Manisha Kanojia (Arundhati), Ekta Sharma, Bakul Thakkar (Lali Chachu) and Rajesh Kumar (Kkusum's brother).
