Wedding and Reception

The Wedding on February 12 and Reception on February 13 at the Radio Club (near Anuj's Colaba home) saw over a thousand guests gather to celebrate and wish the beautiful couple.

The Baarat left from the Hotel Ramada at Juhu towards the Grand Sangam Hall of the J.W. Marriott Hotel. In his childhood days Anuj often expressed his desire of going for his wedding in a chariot with white horses. His childhood wish turned true, and Anuj with his two young nephews moved in a grand chariot while the guests danced to popular Hindi song numbers.

For the wedding, Anuj wore an olive green sherwani with crystal work and Ishmit wore a maroon ghagra choli. For the next day reception at the Radio Club, Anuj chose a silk churidar and kurta with a maroon colored sherwani-style jacket encrusted with swarovski crystals. Ishmit wore a red and pink sharara with kundan and zardozi work. Anuj picked all his wedding clothes from the Millionnaire boutique at Mumbai's Kemps Corner, while Ishmit bought hers from her family designer in Delhi.

A number of celebrities and close friends of Anuj attended the celebration at the Radio Club. They included Viveck Vaswani, Rakesh Bedi, Kiron Kher, Karishma Tanna (Koi Dil Mein Hai), Manish Goel, Kishen Mulchandani, Manish Goswami (producer of Kittie Party), Sai Deodhar (Monica of Saara Aakaash). Juhi Parmar (Kumkum), Poonam Narula (Mahi of Kkusum) and Nausheen Sardar Ali (Kkusum). The menu was very elaborate and the cuisines included Italian, Indian, Continental, Chinese and Mughlai. The starters, drinks, the Delhi chaat and the variety of desserts were a big hit with all the guests.
