About the Couple
Vipul Bhagat, India’s ace make-up artist tied the knot with stylist Shamlee Arora at a simple morning wedding at Hotel Sea Princess and a grand evening reception at Mumbai’s The Club.

One of the favourite make-up artists among the city’s glitterati, Vipul trained in photography and later branched into make-up. Vipul does make-up for films, ad shoots and weddings and his celebrity clients include Malaika Arora Khan, Aditi Gowtrikar, Shweta Jaishankar and Madhu Sapre. Delhi girl Shamlee completed her fashion designing from NIFT, Delhi; she moved to Mumbai two years back and has been doing styling assignments for ad films since then.

How They Met
Vipul and Shamlee met at the ad film shoot of Zandu Kesari Jeevan, where Vipul was doing the make-up and hairstyling while Shamlee was doing the styling.

The Wedding
The wedding on 7^th February, was a simple affair at the Regal Room of Hotel Sea Princess in Juhu. Vipul being a Gujarati and Shamlee a Punjabi, their wedding rituals were a combination of both communities.

For the wedding, Shamlee had a traditional bridal look with swarovski bindis on the forehead. Shamlee wore a lehenga which she designed from her mother’s benarsi silk wedding saree. It was embellished with gold woven zardozi and coloured stones. Mickey Contractor did her make-up and hair. Vipul wore a cream coloured pleated, crushed fabric kurta pyjama with a crushed tissue stole and safa on head from Sheetal Design Studio.

The guests who included Vipul’s relatives, close friends and his neighbours from Girgaum’s JK Building, congratulated the couple and feasted on a yummy combination of Gujju and Punjabi food.

The Reception
For the reception on the next day, Shamlee wore a pink and mauve shaded georgette saree, with swarovski crystal and sequins work done on it, designed by Hemant Trivedi of Sheetal Design studio. Her make-up was done by Vipul.

Vipul wore a navy blue coloured suit with a pleated shirt. It was specially designed by his client and good friend Dhiren Shah of Sheetal Design Studio.

The bride and groom mingled with the guests at The Colonial Hall of The Club, while the dinner of Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine was served at the adjacent lawns. The décor was done with flowers, drapes and candles. Vipul and Shamlee mingled with all the guests, some of whom included Manish Malhotra, Hemant Trivedi, Sheetal Mafatlal, Atul Kasbekar and Netra Raghuraman.
