Sheena Radia and Ritesh Patel
London based Sheena Radia writes about her wedding at the Zuri, Goa

Both Ritesh and I have always lived in London. Ritesh works in sales for a property investment company, and I am a Chartered Accountant working in the Retail sector.

An intimate outdoor wedding
We always wanted to have a small intimate outdoor wedding. 90 of our close friends and family members flew down to Goa for four days of wedding festivities.

The Zuri White Sands, Goa Resort
On 30th October the festivities started with an informal dinner at the Zuri. It was the perfect setting and an opportunity for everyone to get know each other before the wedding functions. On 31st October we had a beach party at Zeebop, Varca beach. This was by far our favourite event! Our family and friends organised a few games, Ritesh even sang to me!

Wedding and Reception
The Ganesh pooja on 1st November was followed by Pithi, a very emotional ceremony! The sangeet and Mehendi was held in the evening. The Wedding and Reception was on 2nd November. The wedding was held late in the afternoon on the lawns of the Zuri. The evening do started with a poolside cocktail reception, followed by an evening of dancing in one of the banquet suites.

Wedding Shopping
Prewedding shopping was fun, my family and I had a short trip to Mumbai to get our clothes. I found my wedding sari in the first boutique I walked into! It was made by Praveen from ‘Me and Mine’ in Juhu. My beach party dress was from Mango- I love maxi dresses and wanted something light and casual to reflect the evening. My white reception outfit was bought from RCKC in London. I saw a gown I liked and had it tailored to my style.

The Wedding Planners were Rajasthan-based Regal Weddings.
