Var Vadhu, the destination wedding specialists managed the grand
Chawla & Handa wedding in Jodhpur. Aarti Chawla, the daughter of a
construction magnate married Spain-based Manish Handa, whose father
Kewal Handa, is the Country Head of Pfizer India. The wedding
celebrations were held between April 20th and 22nd and co-ordinated by
Neha Arora and her team at Var Vadhu. The several functions were held
at different exotic spaces in Jodhpur- the Taj Hari Mahal, Ajit Bhavan
Gardens and Balsamand Lake Palace.

Welcome Dinner & Ring Ceremony, Ajit Bhavan Gardens
Theme: White, Crystals and Pastels
The to-be-weds walked into the gardens to the track of the Light House
number 'Hanging by the Moment' and the lush green lawns looked
prettier with crystal decor, white candles, and floral centerpieces.
Mehndi & Lunch, Amber Ballroom, Taj Hari Mahal
Theme: Indian Colors (Yellow, Green and Orange)
The lively afternoon commenced with the bride and her friends walking
into the colorful room with floral and diya thaalis in their hands.
The track 'Din Sagnaa Da' played when the girls entered, and the groom
and his friends made an entry with 'Singh is King'. The celebrations
turned more special with a surprise and scintillating performance by
Karina, while the Dhol wallas & Ghummar Dancers got the guest to put
their best foot forward. The 'lakh chudis' corner was a big hit with
the girls and the ladies.

Sangeet Evening, Terrace, Taj Hari Mahal
Theme: Orange and Amber
Orange and Amber, the theme colors were perfect for the evening hours.
Dhollwallas played percussionist to the tracks played by the DJ, after
while emcee Binny entertained the audience. This was followed by
performances by singer Viren and his crew and performances by family
members.

Post Sangeet Party, Amber Ballroom - Taj Hari Mahal
Theme: Aqua & White Theme
The Amber Ballroom of Taj Hari Mahal was draped with soothing shades
of aquamarine, sky blue, white and cyan. Rodney & Band, a prominent
group from Mumbai flew in for the wedding, and recreated the sound
ambience of a typical English club.

Brunch & Rain Dance, Ajit Bhavan Pool and Gardens
Theme: Whites and Tent
The grand Ajit Bhavan Gardens were dotted with white tents; the DJ
played groovy tracks and the sprinklers sprayed water creating the
perfect atmosphere for the rain dance.
Sehra Bandhi @ Courtyard Taj Hari Mahal and Baraat & Varmala at
Balsamandh walkway and Peacock Waterfall
TAs the much awaited big moment drew nearer, the guests got ready with
the Safawallas tying their Safas to the thumping beats of the dhol. An
extravagance to witness was the Baraat Procession that arrived at the
Balsamandh walkway. Complemented with Dholwallas, Jaipur Kawa Band and
the animal procession the whole parade was showered with petals by
women clad in elaborate Rajasthani costumes. A special song was played
for the bride's entry and soon the couple exchanged Varmalas at the
Peacock Fountain. Fireworks brightened the skies while the bridegroom
sat in a royal carriage that took him to the Poolside for the Pheras.
Amidst the chanting of wedding mantras by Manraja crew the couple tied
the knot embarking on their new journey as newlyweds.

Reception Dinner North Lawn Garden of Balsamandh
Theme: Indian Qawali and Sufi
The North Lawn Garden of Balsamandh was bustling with merriment and
joy as Sufi Singers rendered soothing verses. The theme for the post
party at the Terrace of the Restaurant Balsamandh was White and
Pearls/ Gold, and the magnificent venue glittered like an ornament.
