Binita Patel and Sandeep Parekh, Phuket
Binita Patel and Sandeep Parekh from London got married in Phuket,
Thailand in July 2012. The couple met through common friends and love
took its course and bought them together. The couple wanted to seal
their love in an intimate wedding at a dream-like locale. A chance
meeting with Neha Mehrotra, owner of Foreign Wedding Planners at the
Asian Bridal Show 2011 at Wembley Stadium, London got them to decide
on a Destination Wedding in idyllic Thailand.

The Wedding Planner
Over 100 guests flew in from London, Kenya and India to Phuket's
beautiful resort Cape Sienna at Kamala Beach. The three day
celebrations were managed by Foreign Wedding Planners (FWP)- the decor
& logistics, F & B, hospitality, travel arrangements and
entertainment. Says Binita: "I always wanted my wedding to be at a
very quiet & exclusive locale and when I saw photographs of Cape
Sienna, I knew that is where I wanted to marry. Me and Sandeep then
convinced our families that there could not be a more pictureseque
location for a life time of memories."

The Welcome Dinner, Mehendi and Sangeet
The celebrations commenced with a welcome dinner at The Deck where a
pool party with an 'All-White' theme was organized. The Chinese paper
lantern 'Khoom-Loy' was released as an auspicious start. The next day,
the Mehendi was held over a lunch at Vanilla Sky Bar with the
panoramic view of the Ocean. The theme for the evening Sangeet, was
Moroccan. The colors were Blue and emerald green; low drapes and tons
of fairy lights dominated the venue. There were mirrored-sheeshas all
around and Arabic food was served.

The Wedding
The pre-wedding functions- haldi & puja were held in the morning
before the evening wedding. After an elaborate Indian wedding lunch,
it was time for the wedding by the beach. Matching the bride's white
and red ensemble was a lovely red and orange combination decor. Simple
and elegant, nature's natural beauty was dominant in the decor.

For the post-wedding celebration, the decor was in fuschia pink and
purple colors with crystals. The function commenced with thank you
speeches, a huge three-tier cake was cut and the celebrations
continued on the dance floor till the wee hours of morning!
