Shraddha Poddar, daughter of Bangalore businessman Kailash Poddar, wed export baron Abhishek Gupta in Udaipur. The pre-wedding celebrations- Tel-baan (ritual bath in Marwari weddings), Sangeet and Mehendi were held at The Leela and The Oberoi and the main Wedding was at the spectacular Jagmandir Palace.

The entire wedding was planned and managed by all the family members. They finalized on Udaipur after considering many venues in India and abroad. Kerala, Aamby Valley in Lonavla, Agra, Shimla, Goa, Jodhpur and Jaipur, they even visited resorts in international destinations like Thailand and Sri Lanka. But Udaipur they felt was perfect for the joyous, traditional affair.

The decor for the sangeet was smart and contemporary and for the wedding traditional Rajasthani and peacock colors. Shraddha wore a Gaurav Gupta saree for the sangeet and a Sabyasachi lehenga for the wedding.

Post the hectic wedding celebrations, the newly-weds went to Greece, and a driving tour around the European alpine mountains.
