Ad Man Roy Menezes wears an electric purple raw silk sherwani for his morning wedding.

Roy Menezes married Ruchita Zambre on 3rd December, 2009. Both Roy and Ruchita work in the field of advertising. He’s a Creative Director with Rediffusion and she’s an Art Director with Law and Kenneth.

The morning wedding was on 3rd December as per Arya Samaj traditions at the beautiful Chinmaya Mission Temple in Powai, Mumbai. For this function Roy chose a very unusual color dress—an electric purple raw silk sherwani. It was tailor made by his two friends Nidol & Divya who run a label by the name ‘Divya’.

Says Roy: “On our wedding day, we travelled huge distances all over the city. After the morning wedding at Powai, the evening mass was held at the St Andrews Church in Bandra. After which the reception was held at Kino Cottage in Versova." For the evening function, Roy looked dapper in a smart grey suit from Ted Lapidus.
