| Keep
love burning… Always |
 |
One
of the best ways to banish boredom from your relationship is to be spontaneous
and break the predictability of your usual routine.
Namrata, an artist, was pursuing a diploma course through evening classes.
One evening to avoid boredom in class and at home, she let her imagination
run wild. She devised a plan. Before she left for her class, she gave
her husband an envelope on which was written. DO NOT OPEN UNTIL 7.30 p.m.
X-RATED MATERIALS TO FOLLOW.
Inside was this note:
Darling,
|
The
purpose of this is to tell you how much I love you and how important
you are to me. All through my boring class, I will be thinking of
you and how I can't wait to come to your arms.
Now, for further instruction go to the third drawer of your desk
With love from the most important person in your life. |

In the
drawer, her husband found a box with various items and instructions.
- Light
these aromatherapy candles. (Two candles with a matchbox were enclosed)
- To provide
a romantic atmosphere, put this red cellophane paper around the boring
white lights in our bedroom. (Red cellophane paper was enclosed).
- Spray
my favourite perfume to provide a heavenly scent. (Perfume was enclosed.)
- Run a
hot bath with lots of bubbles for your sexy wife. (Bubble-bath was included.)
- Shave
and prepare yourself for lots of love. (Shaving cream and a razor wrapped
in ribbon was enclosed.)
- A cassette
of Richard Clayderman (their favourite tape) was enclosed with a note
attached: Play it as soon as you hear the doorbell ring.
- Have everything
ready by 8.30 p.m.
- Remember-you
are the most important person in my life, and I LOVE YOU!
It
was an exciting night for both of them. For once, she wasn't bored in
class. And she kept thinking about how her husband would be preparing
for her homecoming. On that day she felt as excited as a to-be-wed bride.
Till today, her husband keeps the notes she wrote to him on that memorable
night.
What does the above experience reveal?
- Once you
take a risk and create that first surprise-from whispering sweet nothings
on phone to hiding all of his pajamas so he has to sleep naked-you'll
never be bored again.
- Although
there are many things in life over which we have no control, all of
us are capable of creating lasting memories. When we are old and grey,
we are only left with our memories. And what we remember best are those
events that had a special meaning-those crazy, out-of-character experiences-not
whether we served the perfect dish, the way our house looked or what
we wore for that party. What we'll always remember is how we `felt'
and how we `lived.'
