Visited: Tioman Island, Kuala Lumpur (KL), Langkawi

Duration: 10 days

For our honeymoon we went to Malaysia and the trip can be summarized in one word - Fabulous. We landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) early morning and took a connecting flight to Tioman Island, our first destination.

The Berjaya-Air flight was a 48-seater flight, which dropped us at Tioman Island in about an hour and a half. The moment we reached Tioman, we were completely mesmerized with the beauty of this small island. Our reservation was at the Berjaya Resort at Tioman and our suite was right in front of the beautiful beach. Our stay at Tioman island lasted for 5 days which were thoroughly enjoyed with long walks on the beach, a snorkeling trip, jungle trekking and just sipping to cocktails lazing around in the Resort's pool.

Our next destination was Kuala Lumpur. Our reservation at Kuala Lumpur was at Grand Seasons Hotel and our room had a direct view of the Petronas Twin Towers which simply looked awesome at night. We spent one day at Kuala Lumpur. It was utilized in a half day city tour of Kuala Lumpur covering Merdeka Square ('Merdeka' meaning freedom), Masjid Jamek (the city's oldest mosque), a photo stop at the King's Palace, Taman Tasik Perdana (the city's famous park that houses the Orchid Garden, the Bird Park, the Hibiscus Park, the Butterfly Park). We were then taken past Petaling Street (the Chinatown area) and our last stop was their National Museum of history and culture.

The final destination of our trip was Langkawi. Langkawi is one of Malaysia's most popular tropical islands that encompass mystical legends, scenic jungle covered hills, alluring beaches and fantastic resorts. We reached Langkawi by Malaysia Airlines flight and checked in at our Berjaya Resort suite. Our suite was located in the middle of a jungle and the surrounding was simply amazing. During our 3 day stay at Langkawi we went for a half day city tour, an awesome Cable Car Ride and a fantastic Mangrove's Tour. The rest of the time was taken up by the Resort's pool & romantic dinners.
