Namrata and Prashant got married after a brief courtship period where Namratas cousin played cupid. Since they wanted their special day to be fun-filled without too many frills, they opted for a very close knit day wedding with no band, baaja, baraat or ghodi.

Namrata likes to dress comfortably yet fashionably with attention to every aspect of her ensemble.

Bright and Cheery Mehendi
Namrata wore a bright orange skirt with golden corset that she picked from the fashion hub of Delhi- Shapur Jat. Namrata says, "I did not want to wear anything heavy and wanted the colors to be vibrant in the outfit. When I visited Shapur Jat, this outfit at a designer store immediately appealed to me. It had a silk corset with orange embroidery very few and far. Since I was wearing an off shoulder corset with a dupatta draped casually, I preferred not to wear anything in the neck. I just decided to wear golden Turkish earrings that went with the outfit pretty well." She just blow-dried her hair straight to keep the whole look relaxed.

Ritu Kumar Wedding Lehenga
Namrata wanted to be a reflection of herself on her wedding day and Ritu Kumars rusted pink Zardosi lehenga fitted the bill perfectly. She says, "I went to many places like GK, South Extension, Chandni Chowk, hunted all the designer stores but could not find the right color-style-work combination. Since it was a day wedding, I wanted to wear a light color with heavy work but muted bling. This Ritu Kumar lehenga was just right with my kind of pink and dull zardosi work all over so despite being heavy, it was never in your face. I wanted to be totally comfortable so I didnt cover my head." Namrata wanted to look Indian but contemporary so she put soft curls in her hair and kept the make-up accentuated yet natural. She wore kundan jewelry to complement her attire.
