Simply Stunning
By Jaspreet Soni

Globe trotter Vihari, a renowned jewelry designer met Abhishek Poddar, Director of Siyaram Silk Mills through a family friend. And rest as they say is history. They tied the knot on 4th May, 2011 in a lavish ceremony that unfolded in Mumbai.

Tarun Tahiliani Lehenga for Mehndi
For the Mehendi at The Oberoi, Vihari wore a maroon and beige lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani. She says, "This outfit was extremely light and dancing in it was a breeze. The maroon velvet blouse with zardosi work complimented the beige skirt very well. The skirt was sheer and had a beautiful tone to it. It is not a creation that many brides would pick, but I knew if I dressed it up nicely, it would look grand. " And it did. Vihari tied her hairs in a braid and wore gold jewelry (her own design) to accentuate the outfit. Vipul Bhagat did the make-up.

Victorian style Anjalee and Arjun Lehenga for Sangeet
For the Sangeet at Grand Hyatt, Vihari picked an elaborate and heavy peach lehenga by Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor. She says, "It was a Victorian style lehenga with western cuts, the skirt had a mermaid cut, and what attracted me were the motifs on the lehenga. They were extremely intricate and stylish to lend a charm." Jaywant Thakrey did the contemporary makeup with side-swept hairs. She teamed the outfit with emerald jewelry that she designed herself.

Orange red Tarun Tahiliani Lehenga for Wedding
Vihari says, "This Tarun Tahiliani lehenga was very light, with gotta work all over, a simple creation that had everything to make it look stunning. It had beautiful tones of orange, red and yellow giving a very traditional look. I wore jadau jewelry that I designed myself".
