Kriti Soni
The sensitive, talented and friendly girl was all of 22
when she became the youngest winner of the De Beers Diamond
International Award. The award instituted in 1953, are
considered as the Oscars in the jewellery industry and Kriti's
diamond-studded necklace was chosen from a short list of
thirty designs. Since the last few years, Kriti has been
working as a jewellery designer with mum Poonam Soni.
Suhail
Bhatia
Kriti says Suhail is very different from what he appears
on surface. He seems rigid but is soft and caring at heart. At
first meeting, he is very quiet giving an impression of
judging others, but he is actually a shy guy who takes time to
open up. Mature, affectionate and responsible, Bandra boy
Suhail is working in his family business and also runs his own
export house.
How they
met
Kriti and Suhail first met eight years ago, at a function
at the YB Chavan center where Suhail was performing. Kriti's
mum remarked that "Suhail looked very cute" to which
Kriti nodded. They met several times at common friends place
and Suhail soon realized that he really liked Kriti. Three
years back they met at a mutual friends wedding, when they
finally exchanged numbers. In their subsequent meetings, they
gelled very well and a year ago they decided to tie the knot.
