1. Dance little lady, dance.
After a wonderful courtship and a long distance relationship, it was time for Payal and Rachit to take their relationship to the next level. But, Rachit was the shy one so Payal decided to get front footed about it. “I’ve never understood why only the guy is expected to propose,” she says grinning, “Also Rachit is a dancer and I hate dancing so I knew he’d never expect his from me.” She invited friends and family to a restaurant for dinner. What he didn’t know is that “I organized a flash mob! The dancers just magically appeared and Rachit was a bit awkward. When I walked in, he smiled and I knew even my two left feet couldn’t stop me from performing for the love of my life! At the end of the dance, I went down on one knee with a ring and proposed!” Rachit was delighted and said yes!

2. Te amo, in Spain
It was a casual al fresco lunch when Jessica noticed that something was a bit weird. “We were next to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona,” she says, “when I saw cameras flashing in our direction.” She decided to ignore it, wondering if we were in the frame of some other shoot but Raul began to walk toward them and insisted I come too. “I didn’t in my wildest dreams imagine he’d have organized a flashmob but he suddenly broke into a synchronized dance with a bunch of people and then went down on one knee to propose with a ring. It was magical!” Jessica said yes!

3. Bollywood in the Big Apple
Salman suspected Shumaila was the sort of introvert who’d prefer an intimate proposal to a larger than life song and dance. But he wanted to shout about his love from the rooftops! So he decided to go all out and include not just their parents and friends, but 10,000 random strangers in the most famous landmark in the world – Times Square. Salman says, “When you think about an extravagant expression of love, it’s Times Square that comes to mind. I first took her out to dinner and then asked her to walk with me to Times Square. I was a bit nervous but went ahead with a Bollywood themed flashmob proposal. Shumaila was so surprised she almost didn’t believe it!” And she did say yes!

4. Magic at Marine Drive
Girl power was at work when Garima decided to propose to the love of her life, Udit at one of the most iconic Mumbai locations – Marine Drive. “It took me two months to plan it and perfect my dance steps,” she remembers and as she began with her troupe of ten professional dancers, she realized there were hundreds of onlookers. It didn’t bother her though – her eyes were only fixed on her future husband. “His smile at the end was all that mattered,” she says!

5. A live dub worthy gig
It’s the most watched flashmob proposal video in the world! And this record breaking event was a surprise for Amy. Isaac organized a perfectly synchronized live dub proposal for his ladylove that looked exactly like a live TV dance performance. As she stood there enjoying the dance and funny antics, Isaac appeared out of nowhere with a ring and asked her to marry him. No prizes for guessing what her response was…
