These 5 Venues Will Host the Akash Ambani & Shloka Mehta Wedding

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s highly-anticipated wedding is right around the corner, and everyone is tuned into the details of the multiple events, celebrity guest list and entertainment highlights.

As the festivities unfold over the next few days, the world will be furiously double tapping social media photos of the exclusive affair which is said to raise the bar in more ways than one. The celebrations are being planned at some of the most iconic places in Mumbai, and here, we invite you to check out some of these venues.

5 Venues Will Host the Akash Ambani & Shloka Mehta Wedding

‘YOUNGSTERS PARTY’ AT FAMOUS STUDIOS

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta hosted a fun ‘Youngsters Party’ with a Harry Potter theme on March 3 at Famous Studios which lies in the prime Mahalaxmi area of Mumbai. The Famous Studios complex includes multiple large rooms with high ceilings and an edgy industrial vibe making it a go-to place for warehouse parties and live performances.

MEHNDI AT THE DOME@NSCI

The sprawling grounds of The Dome at the National Sports Club of India (NSCI) in Worli will host Shloka’s mehndi ceremony which is titled ‘Mala & Mehndi.’ Overlooking the iconic Haji Ali Dargah and the Sealink, it can easily accommodate up to 5,000 – 8,000 people. A popular venue for many Bollywood awards shows, The Dome@NSCI is also the go-to choice for magnificent weddings, and you can be assured that Shloka’s mehndi will be no less.

TRIDENT HOTEL, BKC

The sound of drums and the glitter of diamonds will light up The Trident hotel in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on March 9 when Akash’s ‘mangal baraat’ will assemble there at 3.30 pm. Guests can enjoy a high tea at the hotel at 6.30 pm before leaving for the Jio World Centre for the wedding ceremony at 7.30pm. Centrally located in Mumbai’s modern financial district of BKC, The Trident is a five-star property which lies just 20 minutes from the Mumbai international airport. We anticipate the hotel will be buzzing with guests of the Ambani and Mehta families who will be flying in from across the world and checking into the property which lies close to the main wedding venue – Jio World Centre.

JIO WORLD CENTRE

One of the major highlights of the Ambani-Mehta wedding is that it will take place at the spanking new Jio World Centre (JWC) on March 9 at 7.30 pm. The JWC in BKC is a sprawling world-class multi-use venue that will host conventions, exhibitions, shows and performances in the future. Picked as the hub for the primary three-day Ambani-Mehta wedding functions, JWC will also house luxury malls and offices. After the pheras, dinner will be served at JWC. On March 10, the ‘mangal parv’ will take place again at JWC. The post-wedding celebrations will commence at 6.30 pm and will be followed by dinner. On March 11, the ‘mangal aashirwaad’ ceremony and wedding reception will be hosted at JWC at 7.30 pm and will be followed by dinner.

ANTILIA

The narrow lanes and trees of Altamonte Road are getting decked up with lights and floral garlands in the same manner as it did in December 2018 when Isha Ambani tied the knot with Anand Piramal inside her iconic 27-story family home called Antilia. Preparations are on in full swing as the Ambani family get ready to welcome their daughter-in-law Shloka home. Said to be one of the most expensive private residences in the world, Antilia has played host to many events over the years, including Akash and Shloka’s official star-studded engagement last year. Its majestic gates are familiar with practically everyone as that’s where Bollywood stars are hounded to pose by the posse of paparazzi parked outside the entrance. We can expect the same frenzy when Shloka and Akash make their way home to Antilia as a married couple.

Apart from these key venues, private residences also played a role in the celebrations. The Mehta farmhouse in Alibaug, situated in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, saw a number of elite guests gathering for a lavish lunch that bride Shloka’s family hosted there on March 2. Similarly, it is expected that Isha and Anand Piramal will host some intimate gatherings at their sprawling sea-facing Piramal Bungalow to toast the newly married couple.
