Nishi Singhal Bajaj, co-founder of Bon Evento, shared an overview of the wedding planning process, “Initially we brainstormed quite a few ideas and bounced them around with the couple’s family. Our main aim was to make sure that the duo and their family’s personalities broke through to the surface with each concept. We were mainly in touch with Vaibhav and his family who carefully went through our ideas and made sure it included everything that Shreya had envisioned for her wedding. Since both the families had very niche and unique tastes, we suggested the lotus theme for the big day which exuded tradition in a contemporary way. To make sure everything was in complete sync with the duo’s tastes and our concepts, we also gave special attention to the wedding invitations and favors by ensuring they got standout designs that would impress their guests.”

Executing the decor and paying attention to the smallest of details was the Vivaah weddings team, while the talented photographers from Reels and Frames zoomed in on all the significant moments.

“Both Shreya and Vaibhav wanted a colorful theme for the mehndi function. Thinking along those lines, we came up with a ‘Phoolon ki Holi’ theme. A bright pink and orange color palette with a tinge of yellow was selected for the occasion. This included drapes, a photo-op spot decorated with ribbons, and the table decor that exuded cheerful vibes. Owing to the fact that the bride was very keen on having a swing in at least one of her functions, we thought the mehndi would be the best function to do so as it was a more playful ceremony.”

Sharing their thought process behind conceptualizing the glamorous sangeet, Nishi from team Bon Evento shares, “After toying with many ideas, Shreya and Vaibhav zeroed down on the ‘Wine and Gold’ theme for the sangeet. To amp up the glamour stakes, we included a magnificent island bar tended by team Drinq which was a priority for the duo. We also collaborated with Reels and Frames to create a slow-motion photo-op spot where we added quirky props like thermocol balls and confetti to make the pictures more interesting.”

For the telbaan and bhaat, the couple went simple on the decor and chose to stay true to tradition. Nishi added, “Keeping the brief in mind, we went very traditional with the concept and decor. Replete with marigolds, the backdrop for the ceremony boasted of a Ganpati crafted out of the beautiful yellow blooms that struck a delightful contrast against the lush foliage.”

“For the wedding and reception, we gave the couple a beautiful lotus theme where the decor was filled to the brim with delicate lotuses. From the table centerpieces to the pathways at The St.Regis, every part of the venue echoed the theme. Acknowledging their faith in Shreenathji, we made it a point to include his likeness in the entranceway which also doubled up as a photo-op spot. Also, Vaibhav and his family were very excited about having a boisterous baraat. Keeping the same in mind, we arranged for a DJ and dhol jam that had everyone shaking a leg. Shreya, however, had requested for a romantic yet grand ‘varmala’ (garland exchange) ceremony punctuated with alluring tunes, and the entire planning and decor team rose to the occasion in order to give the bride a memorable varmala ceremony. A Ganga Aarti was performed by priests who were specially flown in from Varanasi for the occasion after.”
