A conscious Goa wedding with zero plastic, Sattvic food, and soulful decor!

Amid the breezy palms and soothing locales of Goa, Radhika and Akshay tied the knot in a celebration that was deeply rooted in their beliefs. Crafted thoughtfully by WeddingSutra Favorite – VLW Global, the wedding was a poetic union of faith, sustainability, and love, shared not just with their loved ones but also their beloved pup, Hazel, who stole the show!
Radhika and Akshay’s eco-conscious, Sattvic wedding was a heartfelt reflection of everything they hold dear. Right from the start, the couple was clear – they wanted the wedding to be free of plastic. Team VLW Global reimagined every element to reflect this ethos. Flex boards and plastic signage gave way to handwritten blackboards, fabric prints, and rustic carpets, while glass bottles and earthen pots replaced disposable water bottles. Wedding invites and prints were crafted on handmade paper, tying in perfectly with the earthy, artisanal theme.
Food was another cornerstone of their celebration. VLW Global curated an entirely Sattvic, vegetarian menu, staying true to the couple’s lifestyle and values. Even the welcome hampers reflected this thoughtfulness – cane baskets brimming with Sattvic delights. Their furry baby, Hazel, wasn’t left behind, as she was a part of every ritual, adding an extra dose of love and paw-sitive energy to the affair.
Mehndi
Bathed in soft hues of white and pink, the Mehndi was a warm, fresh affair that embraced the natural surroundings. With cane and rattan elements, macrame hangings, and flower garlands cascading from trees, the setup was intimate and dreamy. Guests were invited to write personal messages on leaves for the couple in a touching gesture. Live music filled the air as henna artists worked their magic.
Sangeet
Hosted under the stars next to the serene sound of ocean waves, the Sangeet was a romantic blend of natural greenery and exotic blooms. Fairy lights twinkled as the couple and their loved ones wowed with their dance performances. With its garden-like setting and cozy decor, the evening was a vibrant ode to love, laughter, and dance.
Haldi
Surrounded by trees and bathed in dappled sunlight, the Haldi ceremony burst forth in shades of celebration. Colorful trunks, jute rugs, charpaai beds, Indian handicrafts, and dreamcatchers were woven into a stunning tapestry of tradition and joy. Showered with flowers and surrounded by the love of their friends and family, Radhika and Akshay beamed with happiness.
Wedding
Set against a backdrop of the shimmering sea and lush greens, the wedding was a marigold-drenched celebration of love. Orange blooms lit up the space as a minimalistic mandap of natural branches and orange drapes radiated grace. Fragrant Rajnigandha blooms, wooden accents, and brass details added warmth. Hazel joined both Radhika and Akshay in their separate wedding entries, making for some adorable moments for everyone. The ceremony, deeply rooted in tradition and spirituality, was the ultimate reflection of the couple.
