A heartfelt fusion of love, cultures and designs – this couple’s wedding celebrations in the lap of nature will inspire you!
Wedding Planning - May 9, 2025
Set against the serene beauty of Uttarakhand at Aahana Resort, Jim Corbett, Aanaya Bhaanndari and Rahul Choudhary’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration — it was an emotion-filled gathering of two beautifully diverse families, coming together in a joyful way. The ceremonies, designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – DB And Spaces, were steeped in tradition, laughter, and countless personal touches.
Some love stories don’t need grand beginnings, just the right moment and a conversation that feels like home. For Aanaya, a spirited Punjabi girl with stars in her eyes, and Rahul, a grounded Rajasthani with quiet resilience, it all started with a simple introduction in Hyderabad in 2022. “That first conversation never really ended,” smiles Aanaya. For her, who lost her father in 2010, Rahul became more than just a partner—he became her anchor, her safe space, and the feeling of family she had longed for.
At the heart of the celebration was an unmistakable warmth — a beautiful coming together of two distinct families who embraced each other with grace and open hearts. “It was never about the grandeur,” shares Rahul. “It was about the people who truly mattered. Our families, childhood friends, and loved ones — all gathered to bless our beginning.” Each moment brimmed with emotion, from tender glances exchanged during the pheras to spirited dance-offs and heartfelt toasts.
The décor echoed their essence — elegant yet unpretentious, intimate yet full of soul. With mellow tunes drifting through the resort and midnight laughter over tea, every detail felt deeply personal and a true reflection of the couple’s love. Impressed by the team at DB And Spaces, Aanaya reflects, “They weren’t just my décor team, they became an integral part of our journey. From the earliest brainstorming sessions to the final flourish, they were there through it all. More than vendors, they truly felt like family. Whether it was late-night calls, countless moodboards, or being hands-on at every event, they understood my vision before I could articulate it. I’ll always be grateful, not just for the beautiful setting they created, but for the heart they poured into our story.”
The wedding unfolded as a series of thoughtfully curated events, each with its distinct charm and emotion. The engagement set the tone with an ethereal celebration draped in whites, crystals, and candlelight—an elegant Western-themed event brimming with sophistication. The ‘Ice Breaker’ was a spirited gathering of interactive games and laughter, seamlessly blending the two families through moments of joy and connection.
‘Ruhani Mehfil’, that is, the Sufi Night, transported guests to a world of timeless enchantment, as deep reds, flickering candles, and soul-stirring qawwalis created a nostalgic Sufi evening.

The haldi, named ‘Rang Khel’, brought a burst of exuberance with sunflowers, marigolds, and playful pichkaris, turning the Haldi into a kaleidoscope of joy.

The Mehendi celebration unfolded with vibrant pinks, oranges, and golds, filled with music, dance, and immersive experiences.
The journey culminated in a serene wedding ceremony adorned in soft pinks and whites, where golden kaliras and lotus blooms reflected a sense of purity, love, and timeless grandeur.”
Dakshita Batla from DB And Spaces shares, “A four-day celebration woven with cultural nuance and artistic flair, this wedding was a seamless blend of Western elegance and rich Indian tradition. With our team at the helm, every detail—from curated experiences to flawless execution—was thoughtfully orchestrated. Our meticulous planning, from sourcing the finest artists to designing breathtaking floral landscapes, ensured a celebration that felt effortless, looked exquisite, and unfolded like a beautifully scripted dream.”
