A modern Indian wedding by Designer Events Inc. that broke stereotypes to celebrate unconditional love

Bridging the beauty of traditions with progressive ideals, Rhea and Vikram’s unconventional royal wedding hosted in the grandeur of ITC Rajputana, Jaipur reflected the spirit and strength of their love. Imbibed with heritage elements from across the country, the unique celebration was orchestrated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Designer Events Inc. to honor the coming together of two equals in marriage.
Blooming in college, Rhea & Vikram’s story of love traversed the world before returning to India to mark the start of their next chapter. Woven with the love and acceptance of their beliefs, the couple and their families decided to forego many patriarchal wedding rituals for a modern, inclusive celebration that was orchestrated by the team of Designer Events Inc. From doing away with Kanyadaan and Vidaai to getting a women-lead team of professionals, every aspect of their festivities was as beautiful as it was inspiring.
The team shares, “As Planners and Designers of their special day, we couldn’t be happier to have gotten a chance to orchestrate such a beautiful and unique wedding. With clear direction and mindful ideas of how the day should ‘look’ like, we put our hearts into our work to design a perfect setup only to realize their vision wasn’t just limited to that. Led by the bride’s mother, a renowned lawyer who proudly carries her maiden name to date and promotes women in every sphere, we created the entire vendor team with women of substance and talent. From bringing onboard a woman priest to photographer, and more, we committed to their vision of making a difference with all that we could do.”
Giving wings to Rhea and Vikram’s dream of a traditional royal wedding with modern sensibilities, Designer Events Inc. crafted an intimate soiree at ITC Rajputana in soft hues of pink and white. Combining diverse elements from Rajasthan to Southern India, the day was filled with moments of happiness and splendor. From terracotta pots filled with flowers to breezy drapes, printed cushions, canopies of white garlands, and even the ethereal white phoolon ki chadar, every detail of the wedding was designed to be elegant and aesthetically pleasing, and perfectly complimented the palatial beauty of the property. The bride looked radiant in a gorgeous silk kanjeevaram from the renowned House of Angadi, while the groom looked like a modern Maharaja in an ivory sherwani by Kunal Rawal.
