Akansh Jain from Weddingz by Mindz shares, “Both, the couple and their families were keen on enjoying a grand wedding. Although we had to shift venues multiple times owing to the pandemic, we evaluated Rajasthan and Bangalore due to the pandemic, but then we were finally able to find our perfect venue in Chennai! This wedding was planned with utmost detail and security as we had tried to create a small bio-bubble. Our team and the couple were very keen on keeping the wedding safe and we tested every person who entered the resort. The entire event team and the staff wore a face shield and mask throughout the wedding keeping the guests and their own safety in mind.”

Sajan Goth
Sajan Goth is a Marwari tradition where the families come together to enjoy a lavish meal together. For Rahul and Aakruthi, the team took a cue from the rich Rajasthani culture. Himanshu Kothari from Weddingz by Mindz shares, “The Sajan Goth function is inspired from age-old traditions which we wanted to give a classic touch to. Decorated with Rajasthani elements dotted with the live counters like block-printing of dupattas, live bangle stall and pottery, the artisans for the same were specially flown in from Jaipur. These activities kept the guests engaged while they helped themselves to mouth-watering Rajasthani delicacies. Plus, a live band enchanted the guests with a mix of Bollywood and Rajasthani songs while the couple was welcomed by folk dancers.”

Sangeet
Hosted by the beach under the stars, the Sangeet was ultra-glamorous and extravagant. Akansh shares, “The Sangeet was hosted on the lush lawns by the beach and welcomed guests with a grand tunnel that was crafted out of fairy lights. Keeping the safety protocols in place, sanitizers were kept at the entrance and at every other corner of the venue. As the guests walked in, they were greeted by a slew of paparazzi to make them feel like celebrities. Beautifully decorated food counters, comfy lounge seating and the colossal stage set everyone in the mood to party the night away. For the couple’s entrance, a pathway was lit up by almost 100 cold pyros. Later on, everyone moved to an indoor space for the after-party where a DJ ensured everyone grooved till the late hours!”

Carnival
For the second day, the couple got their families and loved ones together for a tropical lunch. Himanshu shares, “The entire ballroom was given a makeover with highly detailed decor. A gaming corner with tropical-themed games kept the guests busy and they were each also given a luxurious tropical basket. Live musicians enthralled everyone with their groovy tunes.”

Wedding
The big day was picture perfect all thanks to the meticulous planning and stunning decor. Akansh shares, “The Wedding started off with a grand Baraat amplified by a live band, confetti and cold pyros. The Varmala that followed was the highlight of the wedding where the groom entered flanked by royal guards, while the bride entered like a queen on a beautifully decorated palki and dancers with grand props. The varmala stage was planned with 4 levels and they walked their way up to the center of the stage at a height of almost six feet to exchange garlands amidst a rose petal shower. As the confetti exploded, it was a magical moment!

The Wedding décor looked surreal, with a stunning entryway that had a mirror studded elephant at the entrance along with a small yet perfect Sheesh Mahal-inspired stage for the couple to click some photos during the meet and greet post the Varmala. The Phere followed Jain traditions and was a midnight affair with a Sheesh Mahal-themed floating mandap surrounded by floating petals and candles. The guests were given bells to ring during the Phere and a skilled solo flautist performed for the guest during the rituals.”
