The couple envisioned a quintessential Tamil wedding that celebrated their heritage while incorporating their modern outlook and tastes. Life in Technicolour executed their vision with great panache and élan. Given complete creative freedom by the bride, Sameer Sethi led his team to conceptualize, plan and orchestrate every detail of the celebrations and impressively crafted vibrant, unique themes and decor for every function respectively.
Haldi/ Tulsi/ Muhurthasesai
Switching up the traditional marigold setup for a lively and colorful celebration, the Haldi ceremony kicked things off on a merry note. The stunning ceremony corner saw a lush wall of exotic multicolored blooms and an ornate urli seating for the bride, while a canopy of floral and crystal hangings descended from the trees for a beautiful natural setup.
The vibrant Mehndi ceremony was celebrated in a spectacular bridal lounge that was all about cozy corners and intricate details. A vivid backdrop of pink flowers framed the seating, accentuated with a variety of textures and prints as well as plush flower arrangements of tuberoses for a generous dose of elegance.
Traditions are timeless, and so are flowers! For the bride’s intimate Poorvangam ritual, an intricately crafted floral backdrop depicting birds and lotus flowers with peripheral blooms, elegant white vases and bold printed elements in a pretty pink palette conjured an enchanting visual.
Nichiyadhartham and Muhurtham
The quintessential red decor for the nuptials got a modern update with a whimsical rose garden inspired decor of endless blooms. A ravishing backdrop of red roses further elevated by a canopy of mogras set a bold statement, side art walls full of unique portrayals of lotus ponds and a lush green column of foliage and flowers wrapping itself around the mandap. Stunning yet serene, the setup beautifully framed the couple’s auspicious nuptials.
Exuding pure magic, the ethereal Reception decor was reminiscent of vintage Parisian decadence. Set in a subtle romantic palette of soft pastels, the vast stage featured architectural columns interspersed with clouds of baby’s breath, plush cream seating with pastel cushions, antique flower pots, vases filled with tuberoses and other flowers, antique chandeliers, and much more! The occasion had notable Tamil VIPs in attendance including superstar Vijay, Chief Minister M.K Stalin and many others, and needless to say, all the arrangements were done luxuriously to host them all!
