Aastha and Aashna’s Unique Pre-Wedding Photoshoot in Mumbai

With twins comes double the madness and double the fun. And this was just the case when Aastha and Aashna decided to have a pre-wedding photoshoot before they got married to their respective best friends on the same day. Only thing – instead of shooting alongside their partners, they called upon their entire girl gang, further adding to the fun-quotient of their photographs!

The sisters even went a step further to add to their friends’ special experience of the day by gifting them favors from WeddingSutra Favourite, Wedding Lounge by Urvi Sethi. They share with us the pictures and highlights of their day out with their squad.

About The Sisters
Aastha and Aashna both studied media when in India. They then went to London to get a Masters in Advertising and Public Relations. “Being media enthusiasts, we chose to pursue careers in the field of copyrighting and social media respectively. During this time we discovered our love for digital platforms and got fascinated by its dynamics. Hence we decided to start our own fashion and lifestyle page called thebelleame.co on Instagram.”

Proposal
“There was no formal proposal involved when it came to our weddings. The four of us have been friends since we were kids and it felt like a natural decision. We have been very close and knew over time that this was going to happen. It truly feels like it is going to be a lifelong sleepover with our best friends!”

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot
“When it came to planning our pre-wedding photo shoot, we knew that just like our wedding, we wanted this too to be unique. Our best friends have been a part of the journey ever since we can remember and we wanted them to be involved at every step. That’s when we decided to have a pre-wedding shoot with our bridesmaids. We looked up ideas on Pinterest and religiously followed wedding blogs. We then fixed our outfits and theme and got in touch with the photographers, artists and prop vendors in order to finally execute all our ideas.”

“We decided on one Indian and one Western look, but at the same time ensured that the outfits would be something that our bridesmaids would easily find in their wardrobes. For the ethnic look, we asked everyone to wear ghagras, and for the next look, our bridesmaids wore their little black dresses while the two of us opted for blingy dresses. As for the props, we had a whole bunch of things such as placards, trousseau trunks, balloons, confetti and more. Live Love Surprise helped us customise these with phrases like ‘The Twins Wedding’, incorporated our wedding hashtag into the props. The bridesmaids’ favor boxes were made by Wedding Lounge by Urvi Sethi and the outfits for both of us were from Maitri Mehta Label. While our pretty faces were a result of Niyati Kothari’s efforts, our fun-filled memories were captured by Manan Mehta Photography”.

“With us being neck deep in wedding preparations this shoot was a stress buster. That day we were just having fun with the girls, dressing up and joking around. I think the most special part of the shoot was that each and every one of our friends made time on a Saturday morning to do this for us. It was like reinstating that no matter how busy we got we always have each other’s backs. There were minor challenges that we faced, like keeping the balloons in place and holding them in place despite the wind and our heels getting stuck but all of this just added to the fun!”
