An Elegant & Intimate Wedding in Dubai

“Our functions were such a success, highly appreciated by our guests, and you have a big contribution in it. It was the first wedding in our family and it wouldn’t have been such a huge HIT without your help and advice. YOU are already IN for my wedding.”, wrote Dubai based Amreen Khan on Wedding Planner Rimjhim Bhagchandani’s website just after her brother’s wedding which was managed by Rimjhim. And around a year later when it was time for Amreen’s wedding, Rimjhim was obviously her Wedding Planner.

Amreen and Faisal’s wedding celebrations commenced on 12th May with the Mehndi at Holiday Inn, Dubai. Since it was a ladies only evening, they let their hair down and danced the night away. Dubai-based singer Shobana did a fantastic job with keeping the ladies engrossed in an innovative round of games- identifying dialogues from popular TV soaps, and then a medley of popular Bollywood songs. For the décor, amber pin spots and votive candles illuminated the tables and the florals. Oversized urns filled with roses flanked the Mehndi gazebo with strings of marigold tied to gold kaliras, complimenting the gazebo with Indian colors and tradition.

‘Happily ever after starts here…’ was the entrance signage at the next event, the Nikaah that took place at the Safinah ballroom in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The foyer was illuminated with hundreds of twinkling white candles placed around a huge floral centerpiece. The ballroom was bathed in a pink hue, with clusters of paper flowers and towering flower vases serving as the backdrop. Lounges were accentuated with shimmering pink cushions. Glowing candle lights on the tables and a customized monogram gobo light floating across the room completed the look. Amreen looked radiant in a traditional lehenga, and accessorized her ensemble with stunning diamond and precious gemstones jewellery. Faisal looked equally regal in a designer sherwani.

The Valima was a family affair and the finale event which took place at The Crowne Plaza, Dubai. Tables were swathed in silver and white, featuring snowy and blush florals that spilled out of ornate birdcages. A backdrop filled with candles and blush hydrangeas gave the evening a touch of simple and classic elegance. Personalized touches were integrated into the reception, where guests were asked to put their thumbprint on a wedding tree. Later, the colorful tree filled with leaf-looking thumbprints was framed and gifted to the couple. A sentimental video montage concluded the perfect night with an expression of affection and style.
