An epic 4-part pre-wedding shoot in Texas that celebrated the couples love story and culture
Crossing paths online, Ramya, an Accountant by profession, and Niranjan, a Physician fell for each other the moment they met. Living in different states at the time, their bond deepened as they met again and again exploring their favorite haunts in Ramya’s hometown in Texas, which made it the perfect location to immortalize their love in the form of a memorable engagement shoot.
Ramya shares, “I had a vision of what I wanted the shoot to be like, and our photographers from Ivy Weddings helped make it into a reality for us. We had a total of 4 shoots with different outfits and locations, and each shoot was magical. We held our first shoot at a place downtown to commemorate the place where our love had started and bloomed, while another was at our wedding venue to honor the place where we would be united forever. Since the wedding celebration would be hectic, it also gave us a chance to enjoy the place and spend some quality time together. Our last shoot at the temple was held at sunset, the experience of which was so dreamy and special we often forgot we were shooting”.
Since the couple could not hold a formal engagement due to the Pandemic, they made the most of their engagement shoot by incorporating different themes and concepts that celebrated their tastes, bond, and their heritage. “We did not have any theme in mind, so each shoot took a life of its own and had its theme and mood depending on our location and wardrobe. Some pictures felt very regal, some like a fairytale, and others ethereal, but the underlying theme for all our shoots was love. The wardrobe helped set the stage for each location. We opted for an evening cocktail vibe for the city shoot, and white wedding glam for our wedding venue. Traditional Indian attire made for the perfect choice for our temple shoot.”
Reflecting on the experience, she adds “We have so many beautiful pictures from our shoots, its impossible to pick a favorite. Our photographers did an outstanding job capturing all our special moments. Thankfully Mother Nature and the elements were on our side during the shoots. We loved our experience shooting. Neither of us had been a part of something like this, and the team made us feel very comfortable and relaxed, which made the experience incredibly fun for us! The whole thing felt very romantic, the two of us getting dressed up and capturing our love for one another.”
The couple tied the knot at Knotting Hill in Texas.
