Authentic, vibrant, and beautifully personal – this wedding designer bride’s engagement was a rich medley of warm hues
Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Jun 9, 2025
What began as a simple exchange on a matrimonial platform soon unfolded into something profound for Komal Singh and Aman Chandel. Their first meeting at the Vrindavan temple felt spiritually aligned, yet grounded in simplicity. “The first meeting itself felt divine,” recalls Komal. “But we still thought to give enough time before we decided on any big move. Truly, our journey turned out to be magical.”
For their engagement, the couple envisioned an intimate yet regal celebration. One that would reflect their story through every thoughtfully curated detail. The design of the entire celebration was brought to life by the bride herself, Komal Singh, founder of WeddingSutra Favorite – Decor by Komal, whose vision blended architectural elegance with vibrant floral artistry to create a setting both rooted in tradition and refreshingly modern. “As a wedding designer, I always envisioned something deeply personal for our celebration,” says Komal. “I wanted it to feel regal yet inviting—where every element reflected our love for timeless architecture, warm colours, and organic beauty.” Planning the celebration was WeddingSutra Favorite – One Point Weddings, who ensured everything was absolute perfection.
Drawing inspiration from the warmth of Indian heritage, the decor was centred around a palette of orange, saffron, and peach. A rich medley of marigolds and seasonal blooms filled the space with fragrance and vibrancy, carefully arranged in terracotta vessels to enhance the intimate, grounded feel of the setting. Adding to the charm was a hand-painted backdrop that transported guests into a Mughal-inspired garden. Delicate domes, archways, and a poised peacock framed the lounge area, while tall palms and architectural elements gave the space an immersive, royal character. “One of my favourite elements was the backdrop panel as it featured a classic dome, a peacock, and tree canopies that added such depth and elegance,” shares Komal.

Reflecting on the experience, Komal adds, “Everything was perfect, from the decor and my makeup to the food and hospitality. Every single thing was just as we envisioned it.” When asked for advice for fellow couples, she shares, “Keep it intimate. Start with a clear vision of how you want your engagement to feel. Choose vendors who truly understand your style and story. Most importantly, enjoy the journey and leave the stress to your planner!”
