Beach Wedding Goals – Throwback to our Favorite Destination Weddings

Beach weddings seem straight out of the movies – breathtaking backdrops, the sound of the ocean, the expanse of the horizon, the cool breeze – it’s no wonder beaches are high on the list of destination wedding wishlists.

We’ve lost count of the number of beach weddings we’ve featured but we can tell you we have a few favorites so far!

Get ready for nuptials that, besides naach gaana, also had a lot of shore-sharaba. If you know what we mean!

1. Neha and Pawan, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Oman
Neha and Pawan, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Oman were looking to host an intimate wedding against the water’s edge and the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah in Muscat, Oman was the perfect pick. The peach mandap and rocky shore was straight out of a postcard on their big day. “We wanted a very small, intimate wedding. Having grown up in Dubai, having a wedding there would mean the wedding would’ve turned into a very large affair. The Shangri-La resort in Oman was our choice because it is one of the most beautiful properties we’ve ever seen. And we wanted to prioritize on our guests’ comfort levels,” said Neha.

2. Sasha and Samarth, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Oman
Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Oman offers one of the most versatile canvases for an Indian wedding you will come across. Unlike Neha and Pawan’s intimate gathering, Sasha and Samarth had a big fat Indian wedding. Some functions took place indoors but their wedding ceremony itself was conducted at Turtle Beach, at sunset. A mandap was created using bright flowers and light pillars while a team from The Art of Living added a sense of spirituality with the melodious chanting of the wedding mantras.
