Combining luxury and romance, this groom along with the planning team conceptualized a stunning ‘all red garden reception event for his bride!

Apeksha Doshi, whose family runs a business in apparel manufacturing, and Anurag Jain, whose family manufactures polymer products first crossed paths thanks to their families who’ve known each other for the longest of time. To celebrate this union that strengthened the bond between both their families while giving them the gift of love, the couple chose their home city of Pune for the extravagant celebrations. Planned flawlessly by WeddingSutra Favorite – Q Events and Weddings, the couple’s vivid yet spiritual Mata Ki Chowki and plush reception took the cake with its desi splendor.

Damini Oberoi from Q Events and Weddings shares the brief she received from the couple and gives us an insight into the planning process, “Anurag briefed us and let us know that red was his favorite color and hence he wanted it to be dominant in both functions. Since the couple tied the knot at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur and arrived directly at the reception, we had only two to three brainstorming sessions to etch out a plan. For the most part, we were given free rein which allowed our creativity to run unhindered. For the reception however, Anurag was extremely proactive as he wanted it to be a surprise for Apeksha. He personally brainstormed on ideas with us, and the results were mind-blowing. The bride and both their families were so pleased!”

Gushing about the planning team and giving us an overview of the planning process from her own perspective, bride Apeksha shares, “After an exuberant wedding which spanned eight days in places like Mumbai, Jodhpur, and Pune, the final event was beyond my expectations! I did not know this was planned to be a surprise for me to this extent! When I entered the reception, I was just in awe of the decor. The peacock, the red roses, the candles, everything was so beautifully thought out and executed. My husband was so thoughtful when he planned this reception and all thanks to team Q Events and Weddings, it was executed marvelously. Throughout the event, the team was so attentive and they even gave us the time to look around and explore the beautifully decorated venue! They turned our dream into a reality and we couldn’t be happier.”

An auspicious event that took place next to the couple’s house before the wedding festivities kicked off, the Mata Ki Chowki exuded luxury with its traditional decor that had dashes of modern elements woven in between. Damini shares, “The color red is most often associated with the Goddess, and hence we ensured that the venue was brimming with this hue. The Mata Ki Chowki was actually hosted on a plot next to the couple’s house that was completely bare. We chose to highlight the stage so that everyone’s vision would be focused there even as we managed to conceal the bare areas around the spot creatively.

Additionally, we also added hints of gold to accentuate and balance out the rich scarlet color. Bathing everyone in its golden glow the canopy of fairy lights twinkled under the night sky while gold candle-holders adorned with white tuberoses flanked the Goddess’ idol on the stage. During the chowki everyone was immersed in spirituality as they swayed to the music!”

The brainchild of Anurag and the planning team, the reception was all about romance with its ‘impressive red’ decor. Anurag left no stone unturned to surprise his bride as he took charge of the event along with the team to an extent that his jacket was ordered a night before and shoes came in ten minutes before he got on the reception stage! Damini shares, “Red is Anurag’s favorite color and hence, he wanted the reception’s color palette to be dominated by red. He worked with us for days trying to figure out the perfect designs since he wanted to surprise Apeksha and finally our team went about bringing his vision to life. The decor was extremely romantic with silver vases filled with red roses and pillar candles. However, the highlight of the event was the stage on which the couple mingled with their guests. Adorned with red blooms, a lush backdrop, and a life-sized gold peacock that cascaded a garden of flowers, it was a treat for the eyes and created the perfect spot for pictures.
