Concept Tables at WeddingSutra Influencer Awards 2019 by Shehla Khan
The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards 2019 is a glittering platform for some of the most esteemed fashion designers in the industry. The Experience Partners of the glam night created two concept tables with elements inspired by their latest bridal collections. One of the ornate concept tables at the event was created by designer, Shehla Khan and it exuded elegance and grace just like the ensembles from her Summer Cocktail wardrobe which is an extension of her recently launched collection – Diana. The design and elements of the table formed the perfect union fit for a royal wedding.
Shehla Khan’s concept tables mirrored the elegance and grandeur of the stunning outfits worn by her muses – Isabelle Kaif and Yasmin Karachiwala. One of the two tables created by the designer had a floral centerpiece with clusters of cream, pink and white flowers with inserts of baby’s breath. Surrounding it were short vintage candlesticks with glass chalices cradling lustrous pearls, while loosely hung strands of pearls strung from the metallic branches of the centerpiece. The chiavari chairs propped around this table were draped with a pale pink tissue fabric along with orchids, pink roses and gypsophilas beautifully hanging from one side of the backrest.
The other table was just as captivating and elaborate at the same time. It had a miniature trunk with bare branches planted at the center with strings of pearls and scintillating crystals making a spectacular replacement for its leaves. The bottom of the trunk was surrounded by a bed of pink, cream and white flowers along with a generous sprinkling of gypsophila. Crystal clear glasses with pink roses completed the tabletop decor. Not just that, the designated theme-inspired cocktail for the guests at this concept table was the famous vodka-based ‘Moscow Mule’, which became an instant hit. The delicious cocktail was curated by, The Wedding Bartenders and Hops Cork. The table in its entirety felt fit for a royal fairytale wedding, after all, it was inspired by Shehla’s collection which was an ode to the most stylish and iconic real-life Princess – Diana.
