Concept Tables at WeddingSutra influencer Awards by Bhairavi Jaikishan
The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards, besides being an occasion meant to honor excellence, was also a glittering platform for some of the most esteemed fashion designers in the industry. Christened ‘Experience Partners’, each designer created two concept tables inspired by their latest wedding collections and added a wealth of visual resonance. In the previous part of this series, we brought to you Nishka Lulla’s table inspired by the Bohemian way of life, this time we shine the spotlight on Bhairavi Jaikishan’s setup.
Bhairavi Jaikishan chose to showcase a monochrome table done in whites and the color was chosen not only as a mark of elegance but also to symbolize purity of soul when entering the holy union.
The center display featured a multi-tiered arrangement of flowers, candles, and sweets. She created an interesting visual play by placing small bunches of fresh blooms at different levels instead of placing a single large bouquet in the middle. The ivory flowers were accented by green foliage and were set in silver and cut glass bowls and dishes of varied sizes and designs. While forgoing symmetry in her layout, she made sure she struck the right balance by positioning the elements in harmony with one another. Along with the glowing candles, petit fours were displayed in varied mini dishes.
Since the design was based on everything that goes into the making of a healthy and fruitful union, mini place cards bearing elements of marriage in beautiful calligraphy were positioned in between the various features. She even laid down a quirky “Marriage Menu” which featured, as she likes to call it, food to fuel a for a successful marriage and read as below:
A solid base of trust and support with a dusting of family blessings.
Promises of love and romance infused with a delicate froth of devotion.
A sweet dose of faith and companionship set around the simple vows of peace and compromise.
A heady cocktail of fun and adventure spiced with an element of surprise.
The overall mood at the table was simple, elegant and classy, and the décor intended to arouse positive emotions.
