‘A Day with WeddingSutra Favorites’ is a special series where WeddingSutra brings our wedding planning enthusiasm and expertise to excited to-be-weds. The comprehensive wedding consultation includes visits to a specially curated list of jewelry experts, wedding couturiers and other wedding planning stalwarts.
This time around, our lucky reader, Aayushi Shah tells us about her upcoming wedding to her beau Rohan and her wonderful experience participating in ‘A Day with WeddingSutra Favorites’
Rohan was a professional badminton player and I was a rookie and we met at a club, while playing. We were both pretty reserved and never spoke to each other but the ice was broken as he began teaching me the basics of the game. Soon, after the matches, we’d sit for hours together, having heart-to-hearts about our lives and dreams. It didn’t take us long to discover we were meant to be. We decided to take our relationship to the next level, and with the blessings of our parents, will get married in November this year.
Stop 1: Jean Claude Biguine
“I’ve always loved the hair spa sessions at Jean Claude Biguine and was super excited when the team took us there first. The staff treated us with so much warmth from word go. We had very helpful professionals enlighten us about skin and hair. The consultation included a careful analysis of our skin and hair and they then made recommendations for specialized products and effective treatments.”

Stop 2: Zegdo
“We were already impressed by the minimalistic interiors of the store when we met Vishal, the owner of Zegdo who is a great person. Keeping Rohan’s personal style in mind, he showed us the latest designs and trends. Then he personally oversaw the styling of various looks and even gave us a sneak peak into his upcoming collection. The dull gold sherwani that he picked for Rohan, was particularly my favorite!”

“Konkana Bakshi is a very warm and affectionate person and there was an immediate resonance with her thoughts and ideas about our upcoming wedding. If you’re looking for sophistication with bridal etiquette, styling and grooming, Savoir Faire is a must-go for all brides-to-be.”

Stop 4: Pink Whistle Man
“Next up, it was time we got some advice on one of the most important aspects of a wedding- the invitation cards! We entered Pink Whistle Man store with high expectations and were beyond delighted with the array of designs available there! There were so many beautiful masterpieces that picking just one was difficult. The best part of their designs is that they not are only innovative but also eco-friendly.

“Entering Priya Chhabria’s store was like walking into a candy store. I loved her entire collection of gowns, all very intricately embellished and with a chic vibe to them. From the colors to the cuts, I felt like a princess in what I tried on and I got a lot of compliments from Rohan too!”
