Our favorite Pre-Wedding photoshoots of October 2017

It’s easy to see why pre-wedding photoshoots have become an absolute must for every couple. In the run-up to the wedding, when the schedules are tight and tempers are fraying and family is all over you, it’s the perfect excuse to run away and spend some time with your fiancé. The shoot captures the anticipation, the chemistry, and the love just before the wedding like nothing else can.

Here are our favorite pre-wedding shoots of the month.

1. SnapStories
There’s a rustic appeal to the broad stone walls of the Vasai Fort and Megha and Vikram made the most of this rugged beauty. With no distractions, they let the rudimentary interiors in the backdrop work to highlight the delicate ease of their romance.

Photographer Aniket Pawar says, “They were a lovely couple to work with. They wanted a casual feel to the shoot so we decided to keep the outfits basic and let their love be in focus. We shot at Vasai Fort and the beach and while we did add a few elements to the frames, they were only supplementary features.”

2. Our Wedding Chapter
Poulomi and Naman chose the cool blue seas of Goa as the backdrop. The series was a mix of some fun and some artistic shots. It helped that when the weather played truant, they played right along and got some bonus emotions in their pictures.

Photographer Paramveer Sethi says, “We started the day at the beach and let them indulge in as much tomfoolery as they liked. We then shot them in their engagement attire. By the end of the day, it started raining heavily but we decided to use the cozy atmosphere to our advantage. What we ended up with were some super romantic frames.”

Sareena and Manav’s pre-wedding photoshoot at Jamali Kamali and Humayun’s Tomb is full of tender nuance in monotone frames that bring a timelessness to the pictures. The expression of pure bliss, on Sareena’s face as Manav kisses her cheek, the picture of her hands clasped around her partner’s neck and the two of them standing against the blazing sky are some of the gems in their picture series.

Photographer Kartik Bhagat tells us that their love story started in as timeless a way, “They met in Hong Kong through a friend. Manav planned a surprise proposal by setting up a cabana on a beach and arranged flower petals to pop the question ‘Will you marry me?’”

Each frame in Soumi and Anupam’s photoshoot is alive with different emotions. Shot in picturesque Pondicherry whose history of French colonization is evident everywhere, there’s a pop of color, literally and figuratively in every frame – bright pink bougainvillea, a colossal yellow wall or Soumi, poised in a red dress.

Soumi tells us a little about their journey from the first time Anupam saw her to this stunning photoshoot. “Anupam happened to see me briefly in 2006 when we were in school. He was a new student and I was shifting schools. After this, we only reconnected in 2014. Our friendship translated to love and now here we are, posing only a few days before our wedding!”

It is undeniably one of the most famous symbols of love and the Taj Mahal caught Siyong Park’s attention when he came to India. He immediately knew that this was where he would propose to his future wife and so it made sense that the couple had a pre-wedding photoshoot with this iconic monument as the backdrop.

“Siyong came to India to pursue his education and learned about our nation’s rich heritage. Eventually fell in love with the country and was proud of being associated with it. He was very inspired by the story of the Taj Mahal and asked Ming to marry him in front of it. We are happy that he chose us to capture some of the most precious moments of his life,” says Mithilesh.

Himanshu and Pronika chose the honeymoon paradise, Maldives, for their pre-wedding shoot. Photographer Nikhil Arora who shot the pictures at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa shares, “Yes, it is one of the most romantic honeymoon destinations but Himanshu and Pronika decided to add their own twist by going there for a pre-wedding shoot instead. The location was so beautiful and the pictures turned out so well that we are glad we did it.”
