Inspired by a blooming English Garden, this couple’s outdoor wedding was picture-perfect with pink, red and green hues
Wedding Planning - Nov 4, 2022
Swathed in soft hues that are inspired by the beauty of nature during the flush of summer, this wedding looked like a fairytale one with its dainty blooms, twisting vines and comfy seating areas that invited everyone to kick back and enjoy. Spearheading the decoration of this beautiful union was WeddingSutra Favorite – Mogra By Namita who with her creative flair and keen understanding of her client’s vision orchestrated a wedding that left everyone in awe.
Namita Jain from Mogra by Namita shares, “Taking a cue from an English garden which during the summer is wreathed in dainty, fragrant blooms, we conceptualised the decor of the event. The mandap, especially, was to be the centre of attraction as it was created to make an impression of a structure in a wild English garden. We created a structure with vines growing all over it and the aim was to make it look like an organic part of the garden. And, adding a touch of desi vibrance to the mandap were bougainvillea blooms that contrasted beautifully with the bright blue sky.
The couple was also intent on making the wedding, not just about the rituals but an event where all their loved ones came together in a cosy environment to celebrate. For this, we created plenty of spaces for everyone to lounge under Delhi’s bright blue sky. Again, we were inspired by an English home’s backyard and played up the colours with a mixture of three to four different kinds of lounges to break the monotony. Additionally, for the night’s dinner outdoors we chose to canopy the dining tables with Jodhpuri tents that have gained popularity due to their use in the Netflix series named ‘Bridgerton’. In the end, the dining space gave the guests the impression of a picnic with a glamorous twist with the plush flowers, linens and candles that exuded a golden glow.”
