Lit up by lanterns and decorated with lush foliage, this couple’s elegant engagement event enchanted the senses
One with nature and hearteningly magical, Swati Yogi, an architect, landscape and interior designer, and Rohan Kalra, a businessman’s engagement event in New Delhi was a breathtaking celebration. Planned and executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Riwaaz-e-Rishte who with pinpoint precision accomplished every detail, it was a pleasantly unique celebration that reflected the couple’s refined tastes.
Describing the succinct brief that she received from the duo, Anisha Verma of Riwaz-e-Rishte shares, “The couple wanted the event to be different and innovative, and that was our point of focus while planning the same. Also, Swati has a penchant for subtle and classy things, so that too was kept in mind! For both, the couple and us, one meeting was enough to build a rapport and a sense of comfort. In fact, they trusted us implicitly and gave us complete charge of the event so as to let our creativity run free. This resulted in us putting in our best efforts to orchestrate an unforgettable engagement event for them!”
Hosted at MorBagh in Chattarpur, New Delhi, the event was needless to say nestled amidst nature’s bounty. To accentuate the lush surroundings, team Riwaaz-e-Rishte zeroed in on the concept of a ‘flickering utopia’. With bulbs and LED candle studded chandeliers suspended from the ceiling, the venue was bathed in golden light as the guests mingled and whetted their appetites. The ivory drapes sharply contrasted the dark green hue of the foliage which made the event look refined, blissful yet lively at the same time. At the heart of it all, was the bar where everyone gathered to enjoy drinks under the soft lights.
Those who wished to lounge outside under the star-studded night sky were greeted by subtle pops of color as canopies adorned with soft pink and white blooms gave them the perfect place to relax over a lengthy conversation. Dining under the stars, the guests were treated to a spectacular view while they were spoilt for choice at the buffet table. Also, lending privacy to the proceedings was a gorgeous mirror installation of a winged horse that acted as a view blocker at the entrance and eventually became the perfect spot for the guests to take pictures.
