Mehal and Bipin’s Platinum Day of Love
Love Actually, Pre Wedding Photoshoots - May 25, 2017
Our Love Actually series captures beautiful moments between couples in the most stunning locations across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. Here, bride-to-be Mehal shares her cute love story, and photographer Ankit Singh captures the nuances at a beautiful shoot organized at the luxurious Shangri-La Bengaluru. Mehal’s hair and makeup were done by Zorain’s Studio, and she is wearing platinum jewellery by Abaran, Bengaluru.
After completing her higher studies in the UK, Mehal got a job offer as a Commercial Manager in Marks & Spencer, Bengaluru. Little did she know that destiny would make her cross paths with the handsome Bipin, who would later become her life partner.
Bipin had just been transferred to the Bengaluru branch of the same company, and it was through an induction program that the two of them met. They quickly became friends and also spent time regularly with their group of common friends. “We became the best of friends, and over time, we knew that we liked each other, but never really had the courage to confess it to one another.”
It was only when the entire group had gone to a nearby pub that the unthinkable happened. The DJ played Mehal’s favorite number and she couldn’t help but groove along with Bipin. They just danced abashedly and it was precisely at that moment that they both knew there was something special between them.
Months later, when Mehal’s parents came to visit her, Bipin made sure that he took good care of them. This all led up to a special proposal, which caught Mehal by surprise. “It was quite straightforward. We were with our group of friends and he suddenly took me aside and asked me to marry him – and I instantly agreed!”
Next up, for their destination wedding preparations, it was Bipin who called the shots and arranged everything from scratch. “We both are involved in the wedding planning process, but Bipin has been very active since the start. Everything, from the invitation cards to the décor, was decided by him,” shares Mehal.
In fact, it was Bipin who submitted some of their pictures to the WeddingSutra team through which they scored a shoot with the team. “We cannot thank WeddingSutra enough for this brilliant opportunity. Their assistance really helped us in the wedding planning process. From Zorain’s immaculate makeup to Ankit Singh’s candid photography, we enjoyed every bit of it. Also, the venue at the Shangri-La hotel was so grand and luxurious that we felt very special.”
As they enjoyed viewing a beautiful sunset cosily together, the light from their platinum love bands emanated a gentle sparkle that matched their happy smiles. Mehal explains, “We feel so lucky to have had a chance to wear the platinum love bands. They symbolize love and permanence, something that our relationship is all about, and really would like to thank the entire WeddingSutra team for such a memorable experience.”
