Nikita Panjwani’s joyous bridesmaids’ shoot at the Conrad, Pune
The ‘IT Girls’ in school, the soul-sister squad for life, Nikita’s band of besties surprised her with an epic bridesmaids’ shoot commemorating 15 years of friendship, emotion, an eternal bond and an impending marriage!
Every episode in Nikita’s vivid childhood memories involves her gorgeous gang of girls. “We’ve known each other for 15 years! I know it’s a long time. We met in school and continue to be the best of friends till today. I don’t remember a single important moment I’ve lived through without them by my side,” she smiles.
The girls have always celebrated together, “For us, one’s happiness becomes everyone’s joy. Till date, one friend’s birthday is celebrated as everyone’s!” So when she finally broke the news about her wedding, the gang wanted the start of the journey documented in the most epic fashion possible. Nikita says, “This wasn’t just another birthday, it was one us getting married, something we’d dreamed of while growing up.”
So when her girls got together to surprise Nikita with a memorable pre-wedding bridesmaids‘ shoot at their favorite party spot, the Conrad Hotel, Pune, Nikita says, “I was overjoyed and thoroughly surprised!” The hotel made for the perfect location with its expansive pool space and luxurious rooms. Then it was time to pick a photographer. They wanted someone who would execute their fairytale idea and a friend suggested Natasha Samant. “We thank our source every day for helping us find someone who could relate to our imaginations. She is organized, well prepared and captured our precious moments with the utmost finesse and charm. From sending us relatable story boards to arranging some beautiful props, she was absolutely brilliant,” Nikita says enthusiastically. Their first professional photoshoot went brilliantly because Natasha helped them ease away their camera consciousness and made sure the girls were in fine fettle all day!
The friends wanted to have their perfect Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte moment, for which they had to curate a wonderful pre-wedding shoot wardrobe. “We wanted to wear elaborate gowns, pose in our customized bathrobes, relax and unwind,” Nikita says. Fortunately, “One of us is a fashion designer, so she personally color-coordinated each outfit in gorgeous colors of purple, pink, black and red. And then our makeup artists Neha Jain and Srushti Sirwani really helped us look picture perfect and made this event truly memorable.”
