Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and captures beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to tell us how they met, capture the rare connection they share and talk about their day of love.
Pooja and Anshul adore nature and traveling as much as they adore each other and so on their Platinum Day of Love, the two of them hopped onto the luxurious Angriya Cruise and spent a day sailing on a sea of love.
If you ask Pooja, she’d say her meeting Anshul was written in the stars, “I had a successful decorating business in New Delhi and moved to Mumbai in March 2018 to explore opportunities here. A month later, I met Anshul and it was love at first sight.” Even though it was their families who introduced them, she says, “Our first date went on for four hours! It does feel like, one way or another, we were destined to meet. Even moving cities seems in retrospect, a small part of a bigger plan to help me find my soulmate.”
Naturally, no union of two unique individuals can ever be replicated but strong relationships definitely have universal characteristics. They’re nourished by trust, communication and create a feeling of fulfillment and the sense of being loved.
Pooja loves the way Anshul brightens her life with little thoughtful gestures that show she means the world to him, “In all our time together, I know I have been on his mind as much as he has been on mine. He is so open about expressing this!”
As a decorator, Pooja has in-depth exposure to the world’s exotic blooms and definitely has her favorites. She says, “On my birthday, Anshul arrived at my house with vases of imported flowers that I like the most. He is a jeweler and one can hardly expect him to have knowledge about flowers, but he made an effort to understand my tastes and pick a gift that meant so much to me!”
He didn’t stop there. Pooja continues, “I am an ardent believer in Sai Baba and instead of picking a pretty bauble just for the way it looked, he gave me a diamond pendant with the sage’s picture in it. It gives me strength when I need it most – a gift as appealing at a spiritual level as it is thoughtful at an emotional level.”
Despite being betrothed to a jeweler, Pooja’s personal tastes are set in stone, “I’m not one for bold, flashy ornaments and that’s why I love platinum love bands. They symbolize love in a way that is understated. These bands are not over the top yet have a class of their own. They look stunning when worn everyday, any day.”
Pooja says platinum is the most fitting expression of the love and a perfect way to honor their love.
Come with me, to the sea… of love.
Blue skies and the open sea, this is how love is meant to be.
The two explored the cruise liner… you think they saw some honeymoon potential?
Looking into each other’s eyes, despite the views!
Anshul didn’t let on about what was on the horizon…
He waited for the moment she was gazing at the sea…
And he asked… Will you marry me?
Pooja said yes – she would be his safe harbour and anchor for life!
PSA: This isn’t what they mean when they say ‘put a ring on it’!
But these are what platinum love bands look like on two people in love.
Perfect, poised and precious.
They raised a toast to calm days and smooth sailing for life!
Pooja and Anshul’s Platinum Day of Love was all about romance and embarking on a new journey, commemorated by the strength and beauty of platinum. The jewellery crafted using this metal was extended to the couple by PNG Jewellers and makeup artist Simran Shah ensured that Pooja looked camera ready at all times. Say Cheeze Photography were on their toes all day and made sure that every precious moment was frozen in timeless frames.
