Raising the bar high with its extravagance, this three-day wedding celebration flaunted a plethora of unique themes!
Wedding Planning - May 9, 2025
From the celestial magic of the Sangeet to the kaleidoscopic charm of the Haldi and the timeless elegance of the wedding, this three-day extravaganza planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Experience was nothing short of a dream. Each event had its unique charm, yet together they wove a seamless tapestry of love, culture, and artistry, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Sharing their heartfelt vision for the big day, the couple reflects, “A wedding, to us, is not just the union of two people—it’s a celebration of the lives we’ve lived, the journeys our families have taken, and the future we are choosing to build together. Having spent most of our lives abroad, the community we’ve cultivated is a vibrant tapestry of cultures, faiths, and perspectives. Bringing all of that together in one space was something we were deeply excited to navigate as a couple.”
Bringing the couple’s vision to life with seamless precision was The Wedding Experience, whose expertise ensured that every detail unfolded just as imagined. The couple shares with heartfelt appreciation, “This wedding simply wouldn’t have happened without The Wedding Experience. They are absolute geniuses. We’re endlessly grateful for how effortlessly they turned our vision into reality. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone embarking on their wedding journey, especially those unsure of where to begin.”
The Wedding Experience team, in turn, gave a special nod to someone whose behind-the-scenes contributions were invaluable: “Though not a professional—though she absolutely could be—the bride’s mother, Sumathi Suresh, was a force of nature. Her dedication, attention to detail, and hands-on involvement were instrumental in planning and overseeing every aspect of this incredible celebration. She truly deserves a special mention.”
Sangeet
The festivities began on a spectacular note with a Sangeet that was nothing short of a dream. The planning team shares, “The couple’s brief was simple – it had to be dreamy—and that’s precisely what was delivered. Titled A Night Under the Stars, the evening unfolded in a stunning palette of black and gold, complemented by boho-inspired florals. Thousands of twinkling lights cascaded from the ceiling, recreating the magic of a starlit sky. At the heart of the celebration stood an LED-lit dance floor and a dramatic main stage that served as the evening’s vibrant centrepiece. The couple’s seating area embraced quiet elegance—a rich leather couch nestled amidst lush blooms created a romantic nook. But the true showstopper of the night was the avant-garde neon-lit bar, encased in mirrors that reflected the glittering canopy above, adding an extra dose of glamour to the scene.
Turning this dreamscape into reality was no small feat—a dedicated team of over 50 professionals worked tirelessly for four hours, bringing every detail to life with precision and passion.”

Haldi
“In vivid contrast to the night before, the couple envisioned a celebration that was unapologetically vibrant, deeply rooted in tradition, and full of playful flair. And it became one of the most spirited events of the wedding. With just a single night to turn the venue around, the transformation was nothing short of extraordinary. A kaleidoscope of pinks, yellows, and oranges set the mood, starting from a whimsical entrance arch adorned with floating floral garlands and embroidered fabric circles. Inside, cascading drapes in pink and yellow radiated from the central dance floor, creating a striking ceiling installation that enveloped the space in festive warmth. The undeniable highlight was the photo booth—an Instagram-worthy corner featuring a bright pink-and-yellow Vespa, vibrant shelves of colorful glassware, quirky props, and décor inspired by lorries, autorickshaws, and hand-painted ceramic plates. Tucked just behind the main hall, a thoughtfully curated lounge offered a more relaxed atmosphere. The stage, a vision in soft pink, was accented with traditional thikri mirror work and suspended floral arrangements. It served as the perfect backdrop as the couple was lovingly doused in haldi. The bride, who is a trained flutist, gave a surprise performance to the guests on the day”, shares the planning team.

Wedding
“The couple envisioned a regal palette of red, gold, and green, and every detail was designed to reflect their vision for their Tamil Brahmin wedding with Telugu influences. The pathway to the venue was lined with intricate kolam prints and ornate brass props. At the heart of the décor stood the breathtaking stage. A pristine white rose wall framed a majestic painting and a resplendent gold arch featuring hand-painted floral motifs and life-like 3D floral parrots added an air of grandeur. Gold lotus-themed CNC panels and meticulously crafted floral lotuses added depth to the overall setting.
The mandap was the true showstopper—a stunning fusion of craftsmanship and culture. Traditional Chettinad wooden pillars paired with intricate gold CNC frames formed its base, while a flawlessly executed maalai pattern and lush floral arrangements elevated the space into something truly divine. Executing such a detailed and elaborate setup in just six hours was a monumental task. Over 70 skilled artisans and decorators worked through the night, with 30 of them dedicated solely to florals—ensuring that every petal, every detail, was flawlessly in place.
The result was nothing short of magical—a wedding that not only reflected the couple’s roots, but celebrated them in the most beautiful way imaginable”, shares The Wedding Experience team.
