Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding are here and we just can’t help swooning over them. It’s been a long wait but Deepika and Ranveer finally released pictures from their two-day wedding on Instagram. No captions were necessary – a simple heart emoticon did the job. Here are a few details about Ranveer’s wedding outfits that made sure that no groom can ever outshine him.
At the Mehendi ceremony, the handsome groom was seen in a printed cotton angrakha and an embroidered silk bundi by Sabyasachi.
For the first wedding ceremony, as per Konkani rituals, Deepika was the perfect South Indian bride while Ranveer complemented her in an ivory white silk kurta paired with a dhoti and ‘mundavlya’ tied across his forehead for the ceremony. All of this was custom designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for the celebrity couple. We love the subtlety and simplicity of the outfit!
Cut to the North Indian wedding where the couple picked traditional red for the day. Ranveer chose a red Kanjeevaram sherwani by Sabyasachi Mukherjee paired with a leheriya safa and layered jewelry made of diamonds, emeralds, and garnets. When was the last time you saw a groom with an accessory game on point?
Sabyasachi, the designer who styled the couple for most all their wedding looks, collaborated with Christian Louboutin and came up with bespoke juttis for their wedding day.
For the lavish wedding reception in Bengaluru, Ranveer looked dapper in a heavily embroidered black and gold sherwani by Rohit Bal and paired his look with matching, embroidered shoes.
Post-Wedding Party – Mumbai
The Bollywood power couple kept the party going with their post-wedding party organized by Ranveer Singh’s sister and while the preparations were everything beautiful and fine, turns out his outfit for the night was every bit him. He looked his usual self in a Manish Arora outfit and decided to take things up a notch with a strap on cat on his shoulder. He wore some kajal too and the outfit was paired with pink tinge sunglasses, heavy fine jewellery from Amrapali Jaipur and bejewelled shoes.
For the much-awaited Mumbai Reception, Ranveer Singh picked a sherwani by designer Rohit Bal that was intricately embroidered in gold thread work and carried a matching dupatta that added a regal touch to his outfit along with white and gold juttis to finish the look. We can’t help but swoon over these two very beautiful people looking like royalty celebrating their love for real.
Keeping the black-tie dress code in mind, Ranveer picked a Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna tuxedo for their Mumbai reception. Later that night, the handsome groom swapped his tux jacket for a leopard print one and traded in fashion for comfort to enjoy one of the most memorable nights in his life.
The duo looks like a match made in heaven and the photos are sure to melt your heart.
