How We Met

“Snehal and I were born and brought up in Vasai. Despite the fact that we had several common friends, went to the same school and lived a stone’s throw away from each other. We met in 2009 at an anniversary party. Two years later, my cousin who is Snehal’s best friend decided to play Cupid and connected us on social media. Snehal made the first move by saying ‘Hi’ on social media, and I responded with question marks. I knew of him but just wanted to give him a hard time! Lucky for me, he didn’t give up that easily. We began chatting till late into the night and went on our first date in December 2011 when he finally came home from San Diego. We hit it off immediately, and before we knew it, we were in love. In 2013, I decided to move to Montreal for my Master’s degree and to be a little closer to him. We met again in San Diego, and this time it was clear that we wanted to marry each other. This was a big milestone for us.”

Proposal

Snehal proposed to Rhea in the summer of 2015 when she made her annual trip to San Diego to meet him. After an intimate dinner, the two went to Mount Soledad “It is one of our favorite spots in San Diego especially at night where one gets a relaxing atmosphere and peaceful views of the city from this hilltop,” shares Rhea. When it was time for them to leave, Snehal pretended to tie his shoelaces and pulled out the ring when she was looking away, When she turned around, he asked her to marry him, and Rhea said, ‘Yes! Yes!’ immediately.

Post-Wedding Photoshoot

Rhea and Snehal decided to break away from the norm of pre-wedding photo shoots and let convenience be a primary factor to decide when they wanted to be clicked together. Photographer Nishchay Shinde says, “Since they stay in the US, the time between their arrival to India and the day of their wedding was fairly short. Therefore we decided to do this shoot in Daman one week after their wedding. This way they would have had enough time to relax and rest, resulting in a photoshoot where both were in their elements and filled with enthusiasm.”

During the fun shoot, Snehal and Rhea posed against a variety of scenic backdrops in Daman, ranging from country to chic. Their outfits were selected to exude elegant charm and highlight their sense of style. The bride even included their wedding attires in their photographs. “Shooting Rhea and Snehal in their wedding outfits was a great idea. Not only did it add a sentimental touch to the pictures due to its association with one of the biggest days of their lives, but they also got also got a chance to put it on at a time other than the ceremony itself!”

Nishchay Shinde played a key role in making the shoot a magical experience for the couple. He worked on the great chemistry and bond that they share to produce unique photos. Rhea shares, “The wedding day goes by in a flash, so we made sure to take mental snapshots throughout the day. Besides that, we also invested in a good photographer/videographer, since their work is the way you’ll relive every moment for years to come! Hiring Reflexion by Nischay Shinde was the best decision we made!”
