Sameera Reddy weds. Groom Akshai Varde arrives on a bike

Actress Sameera Reddy wed entrepreneur Akshai Varde in Mumbai. The couple got engaged at a simple ceremony at Sameera’s home in Bandra last month. The wedding was earlier scheduled for April this year, however the date was preponed and the wedding a very private affair was held as per Maharashtrian wedding traditions.

Sameera and Akshai have been dating since two and a half years. Akshai, a former flight attendant is the co-owner of Vardenchi Motorcycles that specialises is personal bike customizations. Sameera is the youngest of three sisters. Her eldest sister Meghna Reddy first made a foray into modelling, after which elder sister Sushma Reddy ventured into modelling and television. Their parents are originally from Andhra Pradesh, their father a businessman relocated to Mumbai many years ago. All the three sisters studied at Bombay Scottish School, Sameera completed her graduation from Sydenham College, and began her career in Bollywood in 2002, after which she acted in quite a few Telugu and Tamil films.
