Taking a cue from the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, this couple’s lavish reception in Coimbatore echoed the surreal beauty of the tropical forest
Hosted in the charming city of Coimbatore, in Tamil Nadu, Nivetha and Raghul’s opulent wedding reception was like a breath of fresh air all thanks to its unique ‘tropical forest’ theme.
Raghul made sure his bride was in for an unforgettable surprise as he planned the event along with his father and sister. To make sure everything went ahead smoothly was WeddingSutra Favorite – Vivahhika, who with their creative insights and expert planning skills stunned everyone with the execution of exceptional decor. On the photography front, WeddingSutra Favorite – Aaron Obed created a treasure trove of lasting memories for the happy couple.
Team Vivahhika shared, “As the reception setup was supposed to be a surprise from Raghul to Nivetha, we were extremely excited about the prospect of executing a ‘tropical forest’ based theme.”
“Elements such as wooden trellis frames, a dreamy cloud ceiling with open bulbs, and lush green elements were included in the decor to reflect the theme. The green foliage included our collection of tropical leaves such as asparagus, palm leaves, monstera, cycas, horsetail, and elephant ear leaf. Inspired by the supertrees of Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, we also fabricated structures that made a bold statement. Rounding off the look were plush geometric designer carpets and realistic canvases that had the ability to teleport the viewer to the mysterious woods with its sheer beauty and detail.”
“Since we also wanted to add comfort and coziness to the setup, we avoided the traditional style of theatre seating, and instead, chose a customized seating plan where everyone could freely converse with each other. And, knowing the importance of unhindered friendly banter at any event, we created casual seating spaces with tropical patterned designer sofas with a wooden finishes. Also, chic centerpieces added a hint of character to the seating areas.”
“Adding a final magical flourish was the central truss that was decorated with palm leaves and bamboo for a striking and stylish tropical twist.”
