This couple’s wedding in Kenya was a stunner, blending traditions with modern designs!
Wedding Planning - Jun 27, 2025
Set against a lush, intimate backdrop, this wedding celebration was a kaleidoscope of culture, colour, and emotion—curated and brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Corp. With every event thoughtfully tailored to reflect the couple’s essence, the festivities unfolded like a heartfelt story.
Krunali and Danveer from The Wedding Corp share, “Our first international wedding came with new experiences and a fair share of challenges, but the graciousness of the host family made all the difference. It was truly unforgettable, thanks to the kindness and trust the family placed in us. Unexpected limitations on ground support meant we had to step in fully, managing everything hands-on. From coordinating vendors to personally handling guest logistics and room drops, every detail became our responsibility.
Décor proved especially demanding. We designed the entire setup and reworked plans multiple times to ensure it matched the vision. A major hurdle arose during the reception when forest venue regulations changed at the last minute. With just hours to spare, we had to replace the German tent, drastically reducing our setup window.
Despite the pressures, we curated each element with care—from sourcing custom favors and accessories to working closely with local vendors. It was an intensely creative process and, ultimately, deeply fulfilling. Seeing it all come together seamlessly was a reminder that no challenge is too big when you love what you do.”
The revelries began on a soulful note with a Welcome Dinner that exuded warmth and comfort. Glowing candles cast a golden haze over cosy garden settings, inviting guests into an atmosphere reminiscent of home. A Sufi musical experience lent an ethereal rhythm to the night, while hearty home-style grills and curated comfort food made it feel like a warm embrace.

Next came the Mehendi, bursting with vibrancy and Punjabi charm. Hues of mustard, fuchsia, and bottle green merged seamlessly with handcrafted elements, gota tassels, and phulkari-inspired décor. A DIY Potli Bazaar added an interactive flair as guests created their festive keepsakes!

The energy peaked at the Sangeet, a dynamic Techno Jungle spectacle. Enveloped in cascading foliage and bold, electric lighting, the space pulsed with wild energy. Neon installations, tropical projections, and avant-garde floral hoops gave the event a playful, futuristic vibe, perfectly echoing the couple’s love for music and movement.

In contrast, the Haldi & Chura Ceremony embraced the tender charm of a backyard ritual. Set amidst blooming greenery and drenched in the golden glow of sunflowers, this intimate affair was a joyful ode to tradition. Wooden decks, brass urlis filled with petals, and cheerful yellow blooms created a rustic yet elegant setting.
The Wedding Ceremony was an ethereal vision in soft pastels. A labour of love, the design blended delicate floral installations with breezy drapes in blush and ivory. Petal-strewn aisles led to a mandap adorned with romantic blooms and pearl birdcages, all under a transparent canopy that allowed nature’s beauty to shine through. Everything about the ceremony, from the muted palette to the subtle grandeur, spoke of timeless elegance and quiet sophistication.

The festivities concluded with a Reception that paid homage to old-world charm. Envisioned as a Vintage Garden Soirée, the evening was a poetic blend of classic glamour and heirloom details. Guests were invited to embrace the bride’s unique dress code, ‘Timeless & Elegant’. Emerald green linens, brass accents, and ornate floral centrepieces transformed the space into a lush, romantic haven steeped in nostalgia.
